5 Things MISSING From Disney’s EPCOT Food & Wine Festival News

Well, Disney has dropped a LOT of details about the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival.

We finally have the full menus for every food booth, as well as a first look at some of this year’s new festival merchandise. We even learned about what foods will be part of the cheese crawl this year. But some things were notably MISSING from Disney’s latest announcements.

Specifically, 5 food booths that we’ve seen at the festival previously appear to NOT be on Disney’s list of returning booths this year! Yep, 5 food booths are now missing from this year’s lineup.

First, Hops and Barley will not be returning this year. As its name suggests, this booth features beer, but there have been some solid food items here in the past, too, like the Freshly Baked Carrot Cake with cream cheese icing and Hot Beef Sandwich with horseradish cream and pickled vegetables.

However, a new booth called Flavors of America has a somewhat similar menu. Here’s the menu for Flavors of America:

Food:

  • Italian Hot Beef Sandwich with Shaved Beef, Spicy Giardiniera and Au Jus on a French Roll (NEW)
  • Cioppino: Seafood Stew with Saffron-infused Tomato-Fennel Broth and Sourdough Crostini (NEW)
  • Chilaquiles: Corn Tortilla Chips tossed in Salsa Verde with Ranchero Chicken, Queso Fresco, Cilantro-Lime Crema and a Soft-Poached Egg* (NEW)
  • Freshly Baked Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Icing

Beverages:

  • Rogue Dreamland American Lager, Ashland, OR
  • Goose Island Beer Co. Neon Beer Hug, Chicago, IL
  • Left Hand Brewing Sawtooth Amber Ale, Longmont, CO

So not all hope is lost on getting items with the same type of feel — at least, to a certain extent.

American Adventure

Another booth missing from this year’s festival is Appleseed Orchard. This booth was usually tucked away in the Canada pavilion and offered up some autumn favorites like an Apple Crumble Tart, as well as ciders and beers. But it looks like this won’t be returning in 2023.

Mac and Eats is also missing from this year’s food booth list. This one hurts because we really enjoyed some of the Mac & Cheese combos available here. Goodbye, Cowboy Macaroni & Cheese with Smoked Pork Belly, Brisket Burnt Ends, Pickled Peppers, and Onion Straws.

It looks like Swanky Saucy Swine also won’t be making an appearance this year. This was a great booth for meat eaters and spice lovers, and some of the eats were quite adventurous but you’ll have to look elsewhere for those more unique treats this year.

Pimento cheese and pork rinds

Finally, Earth Eats is also missing from this year’s food booth list. This booth usually focused on plant-based options with Impossible™ ingredients. It seems some Impossible™ ingredients will still be featured at the festival though, just spread out in other booths.

And there’s more good news — we’re getting some NEW booths this year to replace the ones we lost. We previously mentioned the Flavors of America booth, which will be new this year. But we’re also getting Char & Chop, Wine & Wedge, Bubbles & Brine, and Swirled Showcase.
