News of the SAG-AFTRA strike that was voted on last week has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry in a matter of days. Though Hollywood has been experiencing delays caused by the Writer’s strike for months, the addition of an actor’s strike has wreaked havoc with production schedules all over the world. As anticipated, the new strike action caused a ripple effect almost immediately and, over the weekend, saw Disney go ahead with the Haunted Mansion premiere without the cast on the red carpet. The latest news project to be disrupted by the movement is Disney’s upcoming Live-Action Lilo & Stitch, starring Maia Kealoha, which began filming in April. The Hollywood Reporter has listed the film as one of the many productions shut down due to the combined timing of the strike action. Other titles included in the list were Deadpool 3 and Venom 3.
