Listen, there’s one thing you’re probably FORGETTING to do before you go to Disney World…and you’re setting yourself up for disappointment!

If you’re not checking the day calendar on the Disney World website before your trip, then you’re probably missing out on all the refurbishment information that you need to know. On the Disney World website, you can find information about these brief closures and know what to expect during your trip — that way you don’t arrive at Magic Kingdom to find that your favorite ride is closed. And today, we’re issuing you a WARNING about a popular ride!
For a short time in August, one of Disney World’s most iconic attractions will be closing for refurbishment. Haunted Mansion currently has no hours listed on the website from August 7th-9th, 2023.
Haunted Mansion
This is one of the park’s biggest rides, so we’re expecting that people might move around their park days to avoid this closure. Thankfully, it’s only going to be a short closure, so it likely won’t affect those visiting for longer than those three days.
Ride exit
Disney hasn’t shared any information about the closure, but we do have a small hunch. It was previously announced that Haunted Mansion in Disney World would be getting the addition of the iconic Hatbox Ghost animatronic that appears on the ride in Disneyland Park. Could this short closure be long enough for an animatronic installation?

As we said, Disney hasn’t confirmed this theory, but we’ll make sure to visit the ride the day it reopens to see if there are any changes. We know that quite a few of our readers are excited about the Hatbox Ghost coming to Disney World.
