On their Instagram account, Gideon’s Bakehouse owner Steve Lewis shared that the popular bakery made its first public appearance as a pop-up in the East End Market seven years ago today. In celebration of this momentous occasion, a Lemon Crumb Cake is being offered at both the Disney Springs and East End Market locations while supplies last, with a limit of 2 per person. This cake was only available during the first few days of the pop-up and has never been available again since then.
This lemon cake slice with lemon cream cheese frosting and lemon crumb accents is described as “simple, soft, and flavorful.” Lewis says that although it was one of the first cakes he created, the recipe has been improved with new tricks they’ve learned over the years.
