New San Fransokyo Square trash cans have arrived in Pacific Wharf as the Disney California Adventure land is re-themed to “Big Hero 6.” The new land will be completed by September 1 and include updated restaurants, a “Big Hero 6” shop, and a Baymax and Hiro meet and greet.
San Fransokyo Trash Cans
The trash cans are just the latest element added to the area, alongside details as small as Baymax theming outside the bathrooms to details as big as the torii gates on the bridge. They are the same color scheme as the pre-existing Pacific Wharf trash cans — cream and blue — just with a new “SFS” decal. We did see one Pacific Wharf recycling can remaining next to this trash can.
But a new San Fransokyo Square recycling can, including a tube for liquids and ice, was in place nearby. The “SFS” logo is made to resemble Japanese characters since the futuristic city of “Big Hero 6” is a blend of both San Francisco and Tokyo, incorporating both cultures.
