The Droid Parts popcorn bucket that debuted in Disneyland for Stars Wars Day celebrations in May was surprisingly set to debut in Walt Disney World today, but has been temporarily pulled from mobile order menus due to shipping issues.
Droid Parts Popcorn Bucket Delayed But Coming
This morning as we were heading to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we were excited to see the Droid Parts popcorn bucket on the mobile order menu for Kat Saka’s Kettle in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
The Cast Member we spoke to at Kat Saka’s Kettle told us that they “should’ve had them” today but did not due to shipping issues. Cast Members were “horrified” to see the bucket on mobile order menus this morning.
Since then, the bucket has been removed from the mobile order menu.
It seems like no one will be getting one of these Droid Parts popcorn buckets today at Walt Disney World. Hopefully, they will arrive soon.
Droid Parts Popcorn Bucket’s Disneyland Debut
This Droid Parts popcorn bucket was first spotted in Disneyland for “May the Fourth” celebrations. It is made to look like it was haphazardly assembled from the parts of different droids. A red leg, a distressed white leg, a black body, and a purple droid “head” are all held together by mock duct tape.
Guests who purchased this popcorn bucket could choose from one of the two new popcorn mixes that debuted earlier: the Surabat Valley Mix and the Niamois Mix.
This poor droid has seen better days.
The bottom of each droid leg has a wheel so that this popcorn bucket can actually roll around.
Even the interior of this droid parts popcorn bucket is themed, with a bundle of faux cables connecting the lid to the bucket.
Underneath the droid head (or lid) you can see the on/off switch for the light-up feature of this bucket. You can also access the battery compartment with a screwdriver to replace the batteries.
The droid’s optics light up orange.
