It’s the opening weekend of the new film “Oppenheimer” and if you’re planning to see it in the Universal Cinema at CityWalk, you’ll be able to see some of the costumes actually used in the film on display. The theater in CityWalk at Universal Studios Hollywood has been displaying different screen-used costumes in the lobby for the last few months and the current display features the new film “Oppenheimer”.
The entrance of the theater is decorated with banners, posters, and decals for the new film “Oppenheimer”, which hit theaters on July 21. The cinema typically decorates for different films and has been showing off different costumes in the lobby. You don’t even need a ticket to the film to check out the costumes, if you don’t plan on watching a movie. Earlier this year, we saw costumes for “Cocaine Bear” and “Fast X”. Now, the latest display has costumes worn by Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., and Florence Pugh.
Robert Downey Jr. plays Lewis Strauss in the film and this is a piece of wardrobe featured in the new movie. These are all original costumes designed by Ellen Mirojnick and come from the NBCUniversal Archives and Collections.
This fashionable suit, tie, and hat can be seen in the film on J. Robert Oppenheimer, played by Cillian Murphy. There are a total of 4 costumes on display, two of them worn by Cillian Murphy.

A beautiful burgundy dress and heels is the last one for the Oppenheimer display. This original costume was worn by Florence Pugh in the role of Jean Tatlock.
