A new glow-in-the-dark “Star Wars” Darth Vader Loungefly mini backpack has arrived at Walt Disney World. We found it in World of Disney at Disney Springs.
Darth Vader Loungefly Mini Backpack – $88
On the front of the bag is Darth Vader’s helmet and chest panel.
Stitching, patches, and debossing create the different elements of Vader’s helmet, like the black lenses over his eyes.
The chest panel is on the square front pocket, with faux gray, white, red, and blue buttons that glow in the dark.
More fake buttons are on the side pockets.
Most of the bag is an opaque pleather, while the straps and side pocket interiors are made of a shinier material.
The “Star Wars” and Loungefly plaque is on one of the side pockets.
A TIE Fighter is pictured in gray on the back.
The interior lining is gray with Darth Vader’s name and red images of his chest panel patterned across it.
Will you be using this Darth Vader Loungefly to carry your theme park essentials? Let us know in the comments.
Hayden Christensen will return in some form as Anakin Skywalker, a.k.a. Darth Vader, in “Star Wars: Ahsoka.” The series takes place after the fall of the Empire and subsequently Vader’s death, so he may appear in flashbacks or as a Force Ghost.
Anakin trained Ahsoka Tano and they last encountered each other in “Star Wars Rebels.” The live-action series will act as a sequel to the animated series, which ended with protagonist Ezra Bridger disappearing into hyperspace with Grand Admiral Thrawn.
As seen at the end of “Star Wars Rebels,” Ezra’s friends Ahsoka and Sabine Wren set off to find him. The final scene will be recreated in “Ahsoka” with Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka and Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine. Ezra, originally voiced by Taylor Gray, will be portrayed by Eman Esfandi.
When Ahsoka made her live-action debut in “The Mandalorian,” she was searching for Thrawn.
Hera Syndulla, captain of the “Star Wars Rebels” team, will be portrayed in live-action by Mary Elizabeth Winstead. She was originally voiced by Vanessa Marshall. Her droid, Chopper, will also appear in “Ahsoka,” and possibly her young son, Jacen, who only appeared briefly in the final moments of “Star Wars Rebels.”
Thrawn was voiced by Lars Mikkelsen, who returns as the villain in live-action. Wes Chatham will portray Thrawn’s right-hand man. David Tennant will return as the droid Huyang, who teaches Jedi younglings how to construct lightsabers.
“Ahsoka” season one will be eight episodes. It will have a two-episode premiere on Wednesday, August 23.

If you think Magic Kingdom is the only place for Halloween fun, you’d be MISTAKEN. Sure, it’s home to cute pumpkin decorations and the Halloween party (along with lots of Halloween snacks), but there’s MORE to do in Disney World during Halloween time, and you won’t want to miss it.

Why not plan a visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom park during the Halloween season? While there, be sure to stop by Conservation Station, specifically the Animation Experience.
From October 1st through October 31st, some Disney villains will be featured characters in these drawing classes. You might learn how to draw Bruce from “Finding Nemo;” Kaa and Shere Khan from “The Jungle Book;” Tick-Tock from “Peter Pan;” or Scar from “The Lion King.”
Animation Experience
But wait…there’s MORE! If you head to Disney Springs, you’ll be able to listen to live music on the Waterside Stage, which — for spooky season — will include performances by Squad Ghoul Friday through Sunday from September 29th to October 29th.
Waterside Stage
Plus, remember that Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit — a Halloween scavenger hunt — will be returning to EPCOT from September 29th through October 31st.

And you can head to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for some fun with Mickey, Minnie, and their friends. They’ll all be dressed in their Halloween best at Hollywood & Vine for Minnie’s Halloween Dine. This is a Halloween-themed lunch/dinner character meal that runs from August 11th through November 4th.

Disney has announced that Magic Kingdom should be fully decorated for fall from August 10th through November 1st, 2023. This means that by the 10th, we should have all the pumpkins, scarecrows, and festive decorations in the gift shops on Main Street, U.S.A.
Now, Disney’s announcement is not a full guarantee that Disney will swap things over immediately from Halloween to the Holidays on November 2nd — plans can change. But it is a good indication of when the Halloween decorations should come down and when the decorations that mark the start of the holly jolly season could appear in Magic Kingdom.
Until then, we can’t wait to have some not-so-spooky fun at Disney World! Stay tuned to DFB for all the Halloween updates and news.
