Sometimes, things just happen in Disney World with no explanation.
UK Pavilion in EPCOT
We’ve seen rides suddenly close on occasion (not counting the times when rides close for weather). We’ve seen things go missing from rides. We’ve even seen animatronics replaced by plants. Yes, that really happened. However, recently, we noticed a part of a World Showcase Pavilion in EPCOT was closed. Let’s take a look.
We were just making our way around EPCOT’s World Showcase when we stopped by the UK Pavilion. Here’s what this section of the Pavilion normally looks like. There’s a nice wide walking path and lots of cute little shops; it’s a nice little area to explore!

Recently, though, we noticed that part of the pavilion was blocked off with shrubs, which Disney occasionally uses to block off areas for construction. Disney did not explain why that part of the Pavilion is blocked off, but guests are currently unable to go any further. It does seem like there’s some work being done behind it.

So if you plan on visiting EPCOT in the near future, you’ll need to know that you may not be able to visit EVERY store in the UK Pavilion. These things are usually temporary, though, so we’ll be sure to keep an eye on it to let you know when the full pavilion is open again.
We’ll keep our eyes out for more updates!
In other EPCOT-related news, look out for bathroom closures and construction walls around the park. We recently noticed that the bathroom by the UK Pavilion was temporarily closed, and we had to do some searching to find another restroom.
