The curse is real, and the real curse is the need for caffeine! Starbucks lovers visiting Universal Studios Florida will find that the location in New York is now closed for refurbishment. If you’re looking to pick up a latte for Brendan Fraser, you’ll need to take a trip over to the temporary Starbucks location on the other side of the park.
The doors are closed and locked at the entrance of Starbucks and walls have gone up around the side of the building. The construction walls cover up one of our favorite photo spots in the park. Many films and tv shows have been filmed around here, and this wall was a small part of Nickelodeon’s “All That” intro in the early 90’s. There’s a lot of fun history around this park, but we’ll have to grab a coffee and discuss it another time. Let’s take a look at where you can grab your Pink Drinks during the refurbishment.
Over in the Hollywood section of the park, Starbucks has taken over part of Cafe la Bamba. No word on how long the refurbishment will take. We had spotted this new location set up through the Cafe la Bamba windows a few weeks ago and now the refurbishment on the official Starbucks location is underway. Cafe la Bamba is across from Central Park Crepes and Mel’s Drive-In. During Mel’s Drive-In’s refurbishment, Cafe la Bamba is temporarily open during lunch hours.
While you’re grabbing your daily Starbucks at this temporary location, be sure to take a look at the Halloween Horror Nights scare zone set up going on in Central Park.
Universal Studios Florida has been undergoing a lot of refurbishment lately and it’s exciting to see the park getting a lot of extra attention. From small maintenance fixes to large construction projects, there’s a lot happening. As always, be sure to stay tuned to Universal Parks News Today to keep up with all the latest updates!
