Universal Studios Florida celebrated the 4th of July this evening with fireworks, characters, and more. The festivities took place at the Universal Music Plaza across from Minion Land.

The evening kicked off with live entertainment on the Music Plaza stage.

At 5:15 p.m., a character dance party began. The party featured both patriotic figures, such as the Statue of Liberty, and Universal costumed characters like Shrek (pictured below).

4th of July Fireworks

Fireworks at Universal Orlando Resort are always short productions due to city regulations. Unlike some other area attractions, Universal is bordered by residential neighborhoods and apartment complexes, which limits the permissible noise and pyrotechnics
