Lump Crab Cake with Aïoli and Vinegar Slaw – $7.00
This dish isn’t overly fishy for a crab cake. However, some in our party thought it had quite a fishy flavor so if you’re someone who is prone to not liking fish, this might not be the dish for you.
We think it’s an okay portion size, but nothing mind-blowing, You only get one for the money.
We didn’t love the slaw, as it’s just basic. There’s nothing wrong with it, but there’s nothing that makes it stand out.
Overall, we don’t think that the value for this dish is spectacular, as the quality of the food just isn’t exceptional or fantastic by any means.
It’s a super simple dish. If you like that, maybe it’ll work for you.
Oysters Rockefeller – $7.50
While this dish photographed perfectly and was cooked just as described, the texture of our oysters was very coarse and sandy, almost as if they weren’t cleaned properly. They were plump in size, and we loved the filling of spinach, garlic, and breadcrumbs. However, the texture was so off-putting that we can’t recommend this dish.
*NEW* Wildly Brut Cuvée, South Australia ($22/bottle) – $7.00
According to Wine.com, this wine has “aromas of pink grapefruit and lemon sherbet. On the palate there are notes of lemon zest and crunchy red apples. Light and refreshing natural acidity.”
Cape Codder: Boyd & Blair Potato Vodka ($33/bottle) with Cranberry, Pomegranate and Lime – $12.00
The Cape Codder is a basic cranberry and vodka. The cranberry is a little watered down, and we wish the juice was a little sweeter to cut the tartness.
