Today we spotted a new dessert at Storybook Treats in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom, the Rapunzel Sundae. Join us for a taste.
Rapunzel Sundae – $7.79
Shortcake with Dole Whip Lemon and Wild Berry Soft-serve, topped with Berry Compote and Sugar Flowers
Storybook Treats can be found in Fantasyland across from Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and near Friar’s Nook.
The sundae combines wild berry and lemon Dole Whip soft-serve on top of a shortcake foundation. It also gets topped with berries and whipped cream.
Let’s dig in!
The Rapunzel sundae is a refreshing treat that hits the spot on hot days! The lemon flavor brings a tangy kick, the good kind of sour that keeps things interesting. The wild berry soft-serve adds a delicious raspberry taste to the mix. This sundae is topped with fresh blueberries and strawberries in syrup, along with a bottom layer of shortcake that adds a nice texture.
Personally, we would have liked more crunch in the form of an ice cream cone or cookie instead of the shortcake. The melting ice cream and the shortcake can get a bit too soggy for our liking, so you’ve got to eat it fast. This sundae is definitely a tasty treat, but make sure you enjoy it quickly before it all melts away!
