Something NEW Is at Earl of Sandwich in Disney World

The sun is shining, the skies are blue, and we’re feeling hungry. That can only mean one thing: it’s time to head to Disney Springs to get some food! Today, our food of choice comes from Earl of Sandwich. We don’t talk about this spot much (this little restaurant has some stiff competition in Disney Springs), but it’s known for having quality sandwiches and savory snacks.

Who’s hungry?

So, what’s new at Earl of Sandwich? Let’s find out!

When we arrived inside, we were greeted by a big old sign, which we took as our sign that we should give the limited-time Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich a try. That makes sense, right?

Yep. We’re ordering THIS.

The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich consists of Oven-fried chicken, Nashville hot sauce, sweet pickles, and coleslaw. It’s billed as a “hot, tangy, and a little bit country” sandwich, so we’ll see if it lives up to the name.

Here it is — all wrapped up tight!

OK, yeah, this was great! The flavor was fantastic; the chicken was nice and spicy, though maybe not quite as spicy as a true Nashville hot sandwich. But hey — by Disney standards — this guy was HOT! We loved how the spice worked with the pickles. Oh, and those pickles were crunchy and sweet, so they balanced everything out really well. The slaw was also delicious; it was slightly sweet and added a nice crunch to our bite.

This looks GREAT!

As usual, the bread here was great. It tasted fresh and soft, with a perfectly crispy exterior. That Earl of Sandwich knows what’s UP!

 

Now, to be fair, we thought the chicken pieces could have been prepared better. They were little nuggets stuffed inside the sandwich, and we felt that fried chicken breast could have worked better here. That said, for a fast-food sandwich, this was really good and a great value.

YUM!

If you live for spicy food and enjoy sweet pickles, ORDER THIS! For all those spice-averse readers out there, stay away from this guy. It WILL burn your mouth! At $8.99, we thought this was a great value, especially in Disney World! Make sure to give this sandwich a try before it’s gone — it’s listed as a “limited-time” menu offering.
