So there you are — settled on your however-hours-long flight getting ready to take off and see if anyone will be sitting next to you.

Maybe you’ve already dealt with flight delays, or if it’s the future, you may be sitting in one of Delta’s upgraded planes. But no matter what issues you may have faced getting to the airport and your gate, there’s always that nagging fear in the back of your mind if you’ll deal with someone obnoxious on your flight. But who are the most obnoxious people on flights? Well, now we know.

According to a study conducted by Expedia, a popular travel booking site, their customers have voted on who the most obnoxious travelers are on flights.

Out of 18,229 respondents from 23 countries, over 50% of them said the seat kicker/bumper/grabber are the most annoying people on airplanes. Following at 43% are the aromatic passengers (aka the people who smell way too strongly of SOMETHING), and 39% are inattentive parents.

Other groups of people who make the list are personal space violators, audio insensitive people (PLEASE BRING HEADPHONES), line jumpers, people who eat the most aromatic food imaginable, baggage mishandlers, armrest hogs, and the least annoying of the bunch: the airplane mode violators.

So if you’re traveling soon, make sure to keep other people’s personal space in mind, bring activities to keep yourself and your party as quiet and busy as possible, and overall just remember there are hundreds of other people with you on the plane and that everyone wants to have a nice ride.
