If you think the Disney Parks are a sight to see during the daytime, wait till you see them sparkle with perfectly themed lighting effects at night. Spending your evenings strolling around any of the four parks in Walt Disney World after dark can be one of the most magical experiences you will have. Here are a few attractions on our list that are best enjoyed after the sun goes down when visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios park.
The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror
Even though the inside of this attraction doesn’t change with the time of day, the moment when your ride vehicle stops at the top and the doors fling open is a whole new experience at night. Not only does it add to the intensity of the attraction, but it also makes for a beautiful view as you cast an eye over the twinkling park lights below. Don’t tick off the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror as done until you’ve enjoyed it after dark!

Slinky Dog Dash
This family rollercoaster might be lower on the intensity scale during the day, but once the sun goes down, there is a new element of excitement that is added to this ride. The Slinky Dog Dash track and surrounding structures are illuminated with neon lighting, while the area of Toy Story Land lights up around it. It’s also a good time to ride later at night when some of the families have headed back to their resorts for the evening.
Fantasmic!
The Fantasmic! nighttime spectacular is only available to view in the evening, though it doesn’t make it any less of a must-do on your after-hours checklist. This show brings all of the best elements of Disney to life, with characters, music, and special effects that tell a story we love to see time and time again. Don’t miss this one if you are in the park on a night when the show is running.
Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run
This one is added to the list for a very special reason, the ambiance of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at night time. The Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction might not function any differently; however, wandering through the area before and after your ride seems to feel so much more immersive when the sun has dropped away and all of the artistic lighting begins to cast a glow upon the planet of Batuu.
