When you travel around Disney World, do you just rely on Disney World transportation, or do you use rideshare services?
We know that Disney bus, Monorail, Skyliner, and boat transportation IS convenient, but sometimes you don’t have as much time to wait for that free transportation and need to get somewhere a little faster (or somewhere Disney transportation can’t get you to easily). But if you’re heading to EPCOT via rideshare anytime soon, we’ve got an update to share with you.
If you’re planning to take a rideshare service at EPCOT, such as Lyft or Uber, the pick-up location for that service has now changed. You’ll need to walk to the further EVE lot to catch your ride. We recently noticed this when requesting a pick-up — the only option for pick-up location when NOT selecting a Minnie Van is the Eve lot. We also were directed to the Eve lot later by a Cast Member for a rideshare pick-up.
It is a bit of a trek and could be a tough time on the feet and legs after a long day at EPCOT, so you might want to plan for alternative transportation. There’s still the option to take the Monorail or Skyliner to a resort and get a rideshare from there, but if you can just use Disney World transportation to get to where you’re going, that might be the route with the least amount of walking.
We just wanted to make sure you had a heads-up in case you’re using a rideshare around Disney World. As always, stay tuned to DFB for more news!
