An exclusive event is now CONFIRMED to return to Magic Kingdom!
The 4th of July holiday is quickly approaching with tasty treats throughout Disney World and exclusive fireworks at both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. Now, we’re learning another popular spectacle will be returning this year, but you’ll have to be quick if you want to see it!
Disney World is planning to celebrate Independence Day in a BIG way! The day’s festivities will start off with a boom, according to Disney’s announcement: “In a salute to America and military service, Magic Kingdom park will host a flyover of the theme park by the U.S. Airforce beginning at 10:30AM (weather dependent).”
This flyover event is ONLY happening on the 4th of July.
We’ve seen this happen in past years for the Fourth, and it’s exciting to know that we can expect to catch a glimpse of these aircraft in action. Here’s the catch though: you’ll want to make sure that you’re in the park early on the 4th because they are set to start promptly at 10:30AM in the morning. Those planes fly FAST, so you’ll need to be on time or else you might miss them.
Most folks like to stake out a spot somewhere by the castle or down Main Street, U.S.A., for the best views. You’ll want to stake out a spot early, stay hydrated in case you’re there for a while, and expect it to be over in a matter of seconds.
Don’t be in quite a hurry to leave because they might make a turn and pass over a second time after their initial flyover!
We’re excited to see this in action once more to kick off the rest of the celebration! Don’t forget that Magic Kingdom also has a special Fourth of July fireworks show on both July 3rd and 4th.
