BIG Disney News Could Be Revealed Soon — And You Can Get Tickets To Be There!

You might already be familiar with the D23 Expo (not being held in 2023) and Destination D (coming in September of 2023!) — both of which are expos run by Disney that typically bring in some exciting Disney news. But there’s ANOTHER event you need to mark down in your calendars ASAP.

IAAPA is The Global Association for the Attraction Industry and it holds its very own expo that can reveal some BIG updates for all kinds of theme parks around the world, including Disney’s! In the past, events held through IAAPA or at the IAAPA Expo have brought us updates on Avengers Campus in Disneyland, details about festivals and why they’re of critical importance to theme parks, and even news about Gideon’s Bakehouse. And soon, we could get more updates!

The IAAPA Expo will be taking place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida this year from November 13th through the 17th, so mark down those calendars NOW. But, more importantly, registration for the IAAPA Expo has begun!

IAAPA

Registration is now available on the IAAPA Expo website.  You can create an account, fill in your information, and then register for whatever level of access you want.

The IAAPA Expo gathers some of the biggest amusement park professionals in the world in one place, and it typically highlights amusement park trends, technologies, and changes that could impact the future of the industry.

There are nearly 1,120 exhibitors on the show floor that will be showcasing the latest innovations in the attractions world. Pavilions you’ll find this year include Family Entertainment; Food & Beverage; Games & Arcade; Inflatables; Operational Services; Outdoor Exhibitors; Rides & Equipment; Show Production & Design; and Water Park.

Pricing for access to the show floor is $189 for IAAPA members or young professional members. Student members can get in for $50, and nonmembers can gain access for $349.

In addition to the show floor, there are educational programs that will be available and professional development opportunities. These cost different amounts depending on what you’re looking for.

In terms of Disney-specific events, there will be an event during the IAAPA Expo called “Lunch and Learn: Walt Disney Imagineering – Bringing Story-Driven Experiences to Global Audiences.” It is priced at $79 for members and $129 for nonmembers. It’ll take place on November 13th.

On the show floor, you’ll find a number of exhibitors that have worked with Disney, including Aerophile (operators of the balloon at Disney Springs!), Alinco Costumes, Inc. (which has worked on costumes for Disney), COST Inc. (which has worked on construction at theme parks including some of Disney’s), and more.

We’ll be keeping an eye out for any major Disney reveals that might come from the IAAPA Expo or any news about theme park technology and trends that could impact your Disney trips in the future, so stay tuned for that!
