Halloween time is starting soon in Disneyland, and we’re just counting down the days until the first Oogie Boogie Bash.
HOWEVER, let’s just say we’re also starting to look forward to the holiday season, especially with Disneyland recently confirming lots of events returning this year. Well, now, we know WHEN the holiday season begins in Disneyland!
Okay, so go ahead and get out those calendars because the holidays officially begin in Disneyland on November 10th, 2023, and run through January 27th, 2024.
The holidays will bring Sleeping Beauty Castle’s winter look, as well as seeing Mickey and his friends in all-new holiday outfits. Other holiday decor includes a gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Christmas trees in Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, Downtown Disney, Disneyland Hotel, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. “Snow” will even fall every night in select areas of Disneyland.
Several attractions will get holiday overlays. In Disneyland, Haunted Mansion Holiday will still be going strong, while “it’s a small world” will get a jolly overlay. In California Adventure, Luigi’s Joy to the World and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree will bring the holidays to Cars lound for “haul-idays.”
Visitors to Disneyland will be able to pose for photos with Santa on December 24th. A Christmas Fantasy Parade will entertain guests during the day, while the Believe…In Holiday Magic show will entertain guests at night with fireworks and snow. There will also be a special Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort Guided Tour offered, which will include reserved viewing of A Christmas Fantasy Parade. Disney California Adventure will host World of Color — Season of Light.
California Adventure will also host the Disney Festival of Holidays which is inspired by “multicultural seasonal celebrations and cherished traditions of Christmas.” Food marketplaces will serve up food and drinks for the event (and Sip and Savor passes will be available), while there will be musical and dance performances at the Palisades Stage. You’ll be able to dance with Disney and Pixar characters with the Holiday Toy Drummers in Mickey’s Happy Holidays.
We’ll keep an eye out for more announcements about the holidays in both Disneyland and Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
