Is it too early to start saying goodbye to summer crowds?
Disney World has experienced some really heavy crowds all through July and with the start of EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival. We would expect those crowds to start winding down as we enter August and back-to-school season starts, but we saw wait times holding pretty steady this week in Disney World.
Magic Kingdom
Starting in Magic Kingdom, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the longest average wait time of 83 minutes. Last week the average wait time was 67 minutes and the week before that it was 69 minutes, so the time jumped back up this week.
Next, Peter Pan’s Flight averaged 72 minutes, Space Mountain averaged 56 minutes, and Jungle Cruise averaged 45 minutes. Average wait times held at Haunted Mansion at 45 minutes, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at 40 minutes tied with Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, followed by The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at 32 minutes, Astro Orbiter, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Enchanted Tales with Belle all tied averaging 30 minutes each.
After that, “It’s a Small World” averaged 24 minutes, closely followed by Tomorrowland Speedway and Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini both at 20 minutes, Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid rounded out at 19 minutes, while Magic Carpets of Aladdin, and Dumbo the Flying Elephant averaged at 15 minutes. Mickey’s PhilharMagic averaged 14 minutes, Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover averaged 13 minutes, Enchanted Tiki Room averaged 12 minutes, and Mad Tea Party faired at 10 minutes.
Prince Charming Regal Carousel averaged just under a 10-minute wait with 9-minutes closely followed by Hall of Presidents at an average 7-minute wait, while Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, Carousel of Progress, and Liberty Square Riverboat all tied at 5-minute average wait times.
The Country Bear Jamboree, and Tom Sawyer Island were walk-ons this week.

EPCOT
Heading over to EPCOT, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure had an average wait time of 66 minutes — this is an increase compared to last week’s average of 56 minutes. Frozen Ever After’s wait time also increased slightly to 65 minutes still reigning as the highest average wait times in the park.
Next up is Test Track at 60 minutes, Soarin’ at 32 minutes, Mission: SPACE at 22 minutes, Turtle Talk with Crush at 15 minutes, and Spaceship Earth at 14 minutes.
Then, Journey into Imagination averaged 13 minutes, followed by The Seas with Nemo and Friends at 11 minutes, Gran Fiesta Tour at 9 minutes, Living with the Land at 8 minutes, and Awesome Planet at 2 minutes.
Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, Impressions de France, and Reflections of China had no wait times this week.

Hollywood Studios
This week, Slinky Dog Dash darted out as the most popular ride clocking an average wait time of 98 minutes making it the highest in all of Disney World. Rise of the Resistance averaged 77 minutes. Rock n Rollercoaster averaged a 70-minute wait time this week.
Other wait times in the park include Toy Story Mania at 62 minutes, Millenium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run at 60 minutes, then Tower of Terror and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway tied at 57 minutes.
After that, Alien Swirling Saucers averaged 31 minutes, Walt Disney Presents, Star Tours — The Adventure Continues, and Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy all averaged 17 minutes, while Muppet*Vision 3D averaged only 10 minutes.

Animal Kingdom
But the most change we saw out of any park came from Animal Kingdom by far! Avatar Flight of Passage still had the longest average wait time for this park this week with 84 minutes just barely missing that top spot of all the parks. This means the time went back up again from the previous weeks were averaging around the high 70s.
Following that, Na’vi River Journey at 66 minutes, Kali River Rapids at 41 minutes, Expedition Everest at 32 minutes, Kilimanjaro Safaris at 26 minutes, and DINOSAUR at 25 minutes.
It’s Tough to Be a Bug averaged 10 minutes and Triceratop Spin averaged 6 minutes. Both The Boneyard and Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail were walk-ons.
Everyone Can Go Home. This NEW Animal Kingdom Addition Just Won the Whole Week.
As fall approaches and we see more crowds move out back home returning to school and work, we’ll keep watching the crowd levels, wait times, Genie+ prices, park pass availability, and more — that way, you’ll know what to expect on your next vacation!
