When your family starts to plan their Halloween looks, you might be tempted to team up and go with one theme for the entire family. Pulling off a complete look like The Incredibles can be a lot of fun and make for some fabulous memories – and photos! But what happens when you are planning for an epic night of trick-or-treating and want to take the family pet along for the ride? Well, Disney has thought of everything, including five new costumes that you can purchase to keep your dog (or cat?) in the loop.
Last year my dog’s costume was completely separate from ours, and I was slightly disappointed that I couldn’t bring him into my own theme of Hocus Pocus. Instead, my Dexter was dressed in his best Astronaut costume, satisfying his alter-ego, SpaceDex. Get it? I just cracked myself up. This year, it is all about the Hei Hei costume for him and Moana for me, and I can’t wait. The first consideration for me is sizing. I have a giant chocolate labrador, so I always go straight to the XL – XXL section for him. Here is a look at the sizing chart to see what might suit your dog (or cat?) best.
Here are five of Disney’s Pet Costumes that you can work into your family theming this Halloween:
Sulley Pet Costume – Monsters, Inc., $39.99
Hei Hei Pet Costume – Moana, $39.99
Mickey Mouse Jack-o’-Lantern Glow-in-the-Dark Costume for Pets, $39.99
Ursula Pet Costume – The Little Mermaid, $39.99
Cinderella Pet Costume, $39.99
Now, admittedly, that dog doesn’t look terribly happy; however, my Dexter is going to love his new Hei Hei costume, even after I make some alterations to get it on him. If you have a dog that will be wearing a Disney outfit this Halloween, let me know your choice. And if you have a cat that will be wearing any costume at all, let me know how you made that happen; bonus point for cat costume pictures as well!
