Magic Kingdom

• We’re a week away from Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Magic Kingdom is nearly ready for fall. Halloween scarecrows, jack-o’-lanterns, and bunting now adorn Main Street, U.S.A. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party signs and fall wreaths have now been added, too.
• Four Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party events in August are sold out. Halloween night sold out by early July but tickets for the rest of the parties have remained available.

EPCOT

• Walt Disney World recently filed a permit for the installation of a Figment meet and greet set in the Imagination! Pavilion at EPCOT.
• Speaking of Figment, a new pin is also available now.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

• Disney’s Animal Kingdom is celebrating the birth of a baby mandrill monkey, named Saffron, at Kilimanjaro Safaris on July 24.

Disney Springs

• A guest at Disney Springs climbed onto the roof of a bus this afternoon and refused to get down after police arrived.

New Merchandise

• A collection of “Haunted Mansion” merchandise directly inspired by the new film has crept into Walt Disney World Resort. We found most of these items at Memento Mori, the Haunted Mansion gift shop in Magic Kingdom. The pin was at Pin Traders in Disney Springs.
• The giant light-up Mickey jack-o’-lantern will be available on shopDisney tomorrow. This beloved souvenir was released at Disneyland last year and has been spotted at Walt Disney World this year, though it sells out quickly.

Disneyland Resort

• Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at Disneyland Resort will have a frightful new tiki mug available next week in honor of the 54th anniversary of The Haunted Mansion.
• Even though August has just begun, the Halloween season is in full swing at Disneyland Resort, with a ton of new Halloween merchandise hitting store shelves. We’ve got the full list for you.

Tokyo Disney Resort

• The Tokyo DisneySea 22nd anniversary merchandise collection is now available to view online before its release next month.

Entertainment and Media

• Gen Con 2023 has officially begun and many Disney fans have gathered in Indianapolis in hopes of being the first to get Disney Lorcana products. Unfortunately, chaos ensued in the convention’s early hours.
• Disney Lorcana has revealed a surprise sixth rarity, Enchanted, that will be included in The First Chapter.
• Disney Lorcana pre-orders are now open on Best Buy’s website. The new trading card game will be officially released at local game stores on August 18, and then widely released at these big box stores on September 1.
• Despite the disaster we endured on the first morning of Gen Con 2023, some of us were eventually able to get our hands on new Disney Lorcana products.
• After today’s organizational failures related to lining up to purchase Disney Lorcana product from the Ravensburger booth, Gen Con has announced an overnight line — and it has already opened.

The Walt Disney Company

• Several former Republican officials have filed a motion to support Disney in their lawsuit against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District.
