New composite exterior seating has been added to the porch area of Crockett’s Tavern at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, replacing the former wooden furniture and metal picnic tables that were previously located there.
New Composite Furniture at Fort Wilderness Restaurants
Previously, this porch area had wooden rocking chairs and metal picnic tables for guests to utilize. Mealtrip.com has a glimpse of the prior setup.
Now, the rocking chairs and small side tables are made of a gray composite material, which is a mixture of components that can include wood, plastic, and straw.
These new chairs still rock, though, so you get that cozy experience — albeit in a more eco-friendly package.
Here’s a look at the porch with the former wooden rocking chairs. We’ve seen Disney replacing wooden rocking chairs and such resort-wide. Even bike racks at Fort Wilderness have been replaced.
A new counter was added to the porch railing as well, offering guests a place to put their to-go drinks while rocking away in the new chairs.
