Gideon’s Bakehouse at Disney Springs is closed today, August 31, due to an issue with the shop’s air conditioning.
Gideon’s Bakehouse Closed
Gideon’s shared on their Instagram story yesterday that they were having “some technical issues effecting [sic] the AC” and apologized for the inconvenience.
In an update shared Thursday morning, they stated the bakery is “temporarily closed until we can get a handle on the AC issue.”
“It’s a rough scene, friends,” they added, “and we are sorry. I’ll update you here as we try and move mountains to fix it quickly!”
Gideon’s Bakehouse is a popular quick-service cookie and coffee shop in The Landing section of Disney Springs. It’s usually open from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. with long lines of guests hoping to try their unique and giant cookies.
Each month, Gideon’s offers a limited-edition cookie and collectible menu. This month’s cookie was the Peanut Butter Cold Brew Cookie. The Key Lime Chocolate Chip Cookie was also available in early August for the Flavors of Florida celebration.
Hopefully, Gideon’s Bakehouse won’t have to close for too long. If you’re desperate for one of their cookies, they have another location at East End Market in Orlando.
