Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is now temporarily closed at Universal Studios Florida, as the ride undergoes a previously announced brief refurbishment.
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit Temporarily Closed
Rip Ride Rockit is a roller coaster in the New York section of the park, near Despicable Me Minion Mayhem and the new Villain-Con Minion Blast.
Originally opened in 2009, it is unique among coasters in Florida for allowing guests to choose the music they wish to listen to while they ride, as well as starting out with a vertical chain lift. When it is open, be advised: this ride is intense and reaches maximum speeds of 65 miles per hour.
The ride closed for its scheduled maintenance today. The closure is scheduled to last through August 18. A closure also happened around this same time last year.
