We are no strangers to food shortages in Disney World.

Over the past few years, we’ve faced food shortages. First, a noodle shortage temporarily took away our favorite ‘Ohana noodles. Then there was a ketchup shortage. We’ve also lived through a Skittles issue. Well, we just discovered what could be another food shortage in Disney World — and it’s affected our favorite coffee.

Okay, so one of our favorite coffee drinks at Disney World can be found in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s the Cold Brew Black Caf at Kat Saka’s Kettle, and it’s a delicious coffee that’s topped with sweet cream and chocolate puffs (aka cocoa puffs). We’re CUCKOO for cocoa puffs and this coffee.

Well, we decided to head on over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to get a Cold Brew Black Caf recently, and, um…something has changed. Can you spot it? Yep. The Cocoa Puffs are gone, and they’ve been replaced by something that resembles Cocoa Krispies. The DRAMA!

So, of course, we’re thinking that this could mean there’s a Cocoa Puffs crisis in Disney World, or maybe Disney is just changing things up a bit. But here’s the thing: Cocoa Puffs are actually part of Star Wars canon — they appeared recently in an episode of Andor. This new cereal? Well, will it be turning up in the upcoming Ahsoka series?

Now the good news is that the taste of the drink hasn’t changed at all. It’s the same Joffrey’s cold brew from before with that creamy sweet cream cheese foam on top. And although the new crispy pieces on top don’t look as good (or space-like) as the previous pieces, they’re a lot easier to drink through the straw.  So, overall, same drink, new look.
