NEW Look at Tiana’s Palace Restaurant Reveals BIG Change!

A LOT of stuff is going on in Disneyland, and we’re having trouble keeping track of it all.

Disneyland

But we’re doing our best to keep you updated. We were there when the updated Toontown opened (and we even got to ride Disneyland’s Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway). We’re keeping an eye on the Adventureland Treehouse, plus we’re looking forward to learning more about those new restaurants coming to Downtown Disney. But we’re also keeping an eye on two Tiana-themed projects, and we have some HUGE updates to share.

Tiana’s Palace Restaurant

Okay, we are SO ready to dive into some New Orleans-inspired food at Tiana’s Palace Restaurant, and we’ve been getting excited following the restaurant’s construction progress. It’s really starting to look like the restaurant at the end of The Princess and the Frog movie.

Looking good!

Well, we spotted something NEW at Tiana’s Palace recently while we were visiting Disneyland. See that area under the canopy?

Coming right along

Do you see anything there? Here’s a closer look. The restaurant has tables and chairs now. Tiana’s Palace Restaurant officially has seating. Does this mean we’ll get an official opening date soon? We hope so!

Seating

It’s really happening! We can’t wait to have a meal here. In the meantime, let’s take a look at the other Tiana-themed project in Disneyland.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

We’ve been following the construction for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in both Disney World AND Disneyland, but there’s something DIFFERENT happening over at the Disneyland version of the ride. What’s this?

What is this?

There’s a ramp there we hadn’t seen before. It’s also something we haven’t seen yet on the Disney World version of the ride, so we’re very curious as to its purpose.

Here’s what construction looks like from the other side. We’re not sure why this is different from what we’ve seen in Disney World, but we plan on keeping an eye on it.

Lots of scaffolding

We’re looking forward to checking out Tiana’s restaurant AND ride, although the ride isn’t scheduled to open until 2024. But we should be eating Tiana’s famous cooking soon at the restaurant, and we’ll let you know when we get an official opening date, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
