A Special Look Inside Disney’s Once Upon A Wish Ball!

In the largest Make-A-Wish event held in conjunction with The Walt Disney Company, the Once Upon A Wish Ball successfully took place last week. More than 500 cast members came together to make months of planning come to fruition as Disney welcomed more than 50 Wish Kids and their families to a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We saw some of these royal guests receiving their invitations last week, and the smiles were enough to make your heart swell. With the behind-the-scenes images that Disney has shared along the way, I have such a sense of gratitude for the work that went into this event.

Now, only days after this magical ball was held in honor of these special guests and their families, we get to have a sneak peek inside the event! Don’t miss seeing the short video below and see the magical moments that were created for these wonderful families. Take a look at some of the memories they will treasure below:

Once Upon A Disney Wish …

Once upon a time, we received these wishes that helped inspire Once Upon A Wish Party:

  • 8-year-old Lily from Middletown, Delaware wishes to have a princess tea party.
  • 7-year-old Scarlett from Orlando, Florida wishes to have a Disney Princess experience at Disney World.
  • 4-year-old Andi from Bridgewater, New Jersey wishes to visit Disney World and meet Ariel, Tiana and Elsa.

After hearing about the event, one inspiring princess specifically wished to go to “Disney Princess Week.” Her Royal Highness Lainey is a 5-year-old from Maine with chronic ventilator dependence. Her all-time favorite Disney princesses are Belle and Elena. I know I said no spoilers, but I’ve heard both princesses have RSVP’d for this ultimate princess party, and Lainey just can’t wait to meet them.

Disney Parks Blog

Nearly 300 guests attended the event and took part in the royal festivities. We hope it helped all of your wishes come true!
