We now know exactly what time Disney Lorcana will be available for purchase on shopDisney, and more rules have recently been revealed. Ravensburger’s first-ever trading card game was available to Gen Con 2023 guests and then released at local game stores on August 18 with dauntingly limited supplies. It will have a wide release on September 1.
Starter Decks To play Disney Lorcana, each player will need a deck of 60 cards. Ready-to-play starter decks contain a preconstructed deck with a specific card list. If you’re new to trading card games, or if you want to experience the game with a deck designed and tested by Team Lorcana, this is a good place to start.
Each starter deck includes one starter deck of 60 cards, including two foil cards of the characters on the package front; 11 game tokens; one rulebook; one booster pack containing 12 randomized cards.
Gift Set The gift set includes two collectible oversized foil cards, two playable foil game cards, 34 game tokens, and four random booster packs of 12 game cards. The gift set for Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter will feature Mulan – Imperial Soldier and Hades – King of Olympus.
Playmats Each playmat features striking artwork of Disney characters. A fabric top prevents damage during gameplay and can also be used as a desk mat or mouse pad, while the anti-slip bottom keeps the mat in place during use. The first Disney Lorcana playmats will feature Maleficent, Maui and Mickey Mouse.
Portfolios Players can safeguard their collection with portable card portfolios, which hold 64 standard cards as well as eight oversized cards. The first Disney Lorcana card portfolios will feature Stitch and The Queen.
When Ravensburger chose to give the game first to local game shops, it withheld Lorcana stock from mass markets like Target, Walmart, and Best Buy; however, to hit shelves on September 1st, shipments to these big box retailers have to arrive to the stores prior to that date to be stocked. Whether intentional or not, Florida, Idaho, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Louisiana have Disney Lorcana product for sale at big box stores.

Lorcana: The First Chapter starter decks and booster packs were spotted at a South Carolina Walmart store. The booster packs (MSRP $5.99) were being sold for $7, and the starter decks (MSRP $16.99) were being sold for $20 each.

Disney Lorcana Match Guidelines
The Enlightened Illumineers host Trey (@Cabled on Twitter) shared end-of-time rules they learned from the Disney Lorcana HQ Discord.
We finally have confirmation how to handle end of time for Lorcana. No matter what type of tournament (swiss or top cut elimination) after the 50 mins are up you do +5 turns. Meaning current player is at turn 0, then next is turn 1, then turn 2, etc.. until you get to 5. Making it so each player has 3 turns.
If you are playing regular swiss rounds, Lore total is not used at all for any game. This may result into ties a lot.
If you are in single elimination top cut. You will use Lore total for Games 1 and Game 3. However for Game 2 if no one out right wins that game then the winner of Game 1 wins, you don’t use Lore Total to see who wins for Game 2.
What does using Lore Total mean? If a player is at 19 Lore and the other is at 18 at the end of +5. The player at 19 Lore will win that game

If you’re here, that means you’re probably a Disney fan, so we’re guessing the answer is probably “yes.” Disney+ has some pretty awesome original content, including NEW Star Wars shows (have y’all SEEN Ahsoka? SO GOOD), Marvel shows, and some fun kid’s programming. Plus, there are so MANY shows on the way, although one of those just got canceled before it ever even premiered.
Well, Disney has since decided not to move forward with that series on Disney+, according to Deadline. This comes after all eight episodes of the series have been filmed. But don’t worry — the series is being shopped around to other streamers. According to Deadline, Disney is going to focus more on its own IPs for upcoming series on the streaming service.
But that’s not the only series getting the axe at Disney+. According to Variety, Disney has also announced that its Doogie Howser reboot, Doogie Kamealoha, M.D., will be canceled after just two seasons. That series, which was set in Hawaii, followed a 16-year-old prodigy building a medical career, just like in the original Doogie Howser series.
Disney announced earlier this year that it had plans to cut its spending by $5.5 billion, including a whopping $3 billion in non-sports content. So it’s likely that this is all part of Disney’s current cost-cutting plan to help CEO Bob Iger achieve his goals with streaming, which he has previously said is his #1 priority at the company.
We’ve also recently seen some shows and movies on Disney+ disappear from the subscription service in an effort to trim costs. We’ll have to see if more disappear from the service and see if any other original series get canceled. We’ll keep an eye on the situation, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
This new spot in the Japan pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase “soft-opened” several days early and has been open for walk-ins from 12PM to 9PM daily. However, it’s going to OFFICIALLY open soon!

Shiki-Sai is officially opening on August 28th, 2023. Reservations are open now, so you can book your spot ASAP! Although you can walk in to dine here now, there are no reservation spots available until the 28th.

The menu at this restaurant features Japanese cuisine such as sushi and teppan items, plus an open sushi bar and grill. The style of dining is Japanese Izakaya — a type of casual pub-style experience that puts an emphasis on drinks and conversations with friends.

Izakaya menus typically feature small dishes, and that is the case at Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya, too. Karaage Chicken, Salmon Misoyaki, and Tomato Salad with Avocado are among the Izakaya (sharable) plates.

At the open sushi bar, you’ll find highlights like the Kobore Sushi, the Tokyo Negi Roll, a Monster Roll, and the Funamori (sushi boat with a presentation of sashimi and sushi).

Shiki-Sai also celebrates seasonal Japanese festivals with changing menu items and decor at different times of the year “from hanging tanzaku to celebrate Tanabata in July to savoring moon-viewing dumplings in September.”

The latest rumor regarding the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s “Deadpool 3” film is revolving around the notion that Taylor Swift may portray Dazzler, a superheroine often in assocation with the X-Men.

This rumor originated back in the X-Men era, when Taylor Swift was seen spending time with several members of the main cast working on “X-Men: Apocalypse;” the original rumor began with a post by Simon Kinberg, writer for “X-Men: Apocalypse,” seen below:
The pop superstar appeared here with James McAvoy (Professor X), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), and Kinberg. When rumors began circulating back in 2015 after this photo was posted, MTV News directly spoke to Kinberg, who said that Swift was never been involved with “X-Men: Apocalypse” and the photo was taken backstage at a Taylor Swift concert.
In the same interview, however, Kinberg commented on the rumors, saying, “After I saw those things I was like oh, that’s kind of interesting, but no, we were actually just there for her concert.” With Kinberg writing for “Deadpool 3,” Davis’s assertion that Feige would like to focus on Dazzler has reignited this particular rumor.
Earlier in August, Screen Rant shared some fan art from Instagram user defendisinart depicting Swift as the character.
Taylor Swift is friends with “Deadpool” star Ryan Reynolds, too, who famously loaned his costume to her during Halloween in 2016.

“Deadpool 3” will be the first of the series that is officially part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will also be the MCU’s first R-rated film. It was announced last fall that Hugh Jackman would return as Wolverine in this third entry. Jackman originally ended his time as Wolverine after “Logan” in 2017.
In April, the return of Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic was also announced, portraying Vanessa and Colossus, respectively. Ryan Reynolds then proclaimed reprisals for Karan Soni as Dopinder and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al.

That separate ticketed event is Jollywood Nights, a brand new After Hours party scheduled for select nights in Hollywood Studios from November 11th through December 20th. Well, the FIRST Jollywood Nights party is officially sold out for November 11th.
However, other dates are still available, but as this party is NEW, we may begin to see more dates sell out as we get closer to the holiday season. The event includes special fireworks and projections, exclusive treats, rare characters, unique entertainment, a LIVE Muppets holiday special, and more!
There will also be access to rides, live music, and a Nightmare Before Christmas sing-along with Jack Skellington. Meanwhile, the Hollywood Brown Derby will transform into a speakeasy-inspired jazz lounge, while The Hollywood Tower Hotel Courtyard will host an “other-worldly soiree” with a ghostly band.

The Jambon Beurre (which literally means ham and butter) is a sandwich made with Ham, Cheese, and Dijon Mustard Butter on a Demi Baguette. You can have this sandwich served to you toasted or cold, but we have preferred this one served to us cold.

It’s a fairly simple sandwich, which is why we keep coming back for it. We like that this sandwich is dressed with butter rather than mayo, and that it features thickly sliced ham, and Gruyère cheese. If you’re looking for a complex array of flavors, you’ll get your money’s worth in this sandwich.
Brie au Pommes
The Brie au Pommes (which translates to brie with apples) sandwich is made with Brie, Apples, and Cranberries on Multi-Grain Bread. This is the sandwich that evokes a true Parisian experience.

The sliced brie combined with the sliced apples is a winning combination for us. If you’re really looking to plus up your experience, try it heated! The soft brie really gets to melt with the sweet apples and it’s nothing short of delicious.

The Croque Monsieur sandwich is a French take on a toasted ham and cheese. It’s made with a bechamel sauce and extra toasted Gruyere cheese on top, which makes it equally filling and delicious!

The Viennoiserie Pomme is an apple pastry in a fluffy, buttery croissant with an apple pie-like filling. The filling also has cinnamon and contains walnuts and almonds.

The top crumble portion tastes like a sort of oat crumble with cinnamon. Inside the pastry, you’ll find really BIG chunks of cooked apple. The last time we tried this treat it was served to us at room temperature, but we can imagine the flavors (and smells) really developing when warmed up!

This savory snack is like France’s version of a pizza. It’s made out of focaccia-like bread topped with cheese, fresh tomatoes, olives, and herbs.

We recommend you ask for this to be toasted, as it really helps raise the flavor. The focaccia-style bread makes this snack feel like a personal pan pizza with less sauce.

This beauty is tomato sauce, basil, and cheese (including a whole round of goat cheese) piled on French bread and toasted. The sauce tastes fresh and slightly sweet, and the basil shines through in each bite.

If you’re a goat cheese lover, you’ll really enjoy the giant slice on the top, and if you’re not, it’s easily removed should you wish to enjoy the Tartine without it.

The savory Croissant Jambon Fromage (croissant with ham and cheese) is another ssnack with stellar value — all the more so because it’s has creamy bechamel sauce, too, just like the Croque Monsieur! The ingredients here are as high quality as we expect from Les Halles — and this sandwich is super cheesy!

The Quiche Lorraine is made with ham and gruyere cheese, as well as the eggs and cream you typically find in a quiche.

This spinach and egg custard is topped with a generous pat of creamy goat cheese and then baked in a buttery crust.

The Croissant Salé is a combination of Eggs, Cheese, and Bacon served on a buttery Croissant. You can have it toasted or served cold, but we’ve preferred to have ours toasted.

Inside the flaky croissant, you’ll find the stacked Swiss cheese, egg, and multiple slices of bacon — which is basically a whole breakfast meal wrapped up in a bite, so yummy.

This bacon and cheese roll has changed names a few times at Les Halles, but most recently has been dubbed the Pain Lard & Fromage. You may also remember it in a different shape with significantly less bacon… but we’re happy to report that has changed.

This entire snack is made of bacon, cheese, and bread so what’s not to love here? When Disney answered our collective cry for more bacon and delivered that significantly catapulted its ranking in this list.

The Bisque de Homard, or Lobster Bisque in a Bread Bowl, is fairly reasonably priced for a filling and savory meal. On a cooler day, this hearty meal is like a warm hug and knows just how to hit the spot.

Pesto lovers this one’s for you! The Poulet au Pistou (aka pesto chicken) is made with Chicken Breast, Cheese, Tomato, Red Onion, and Pesto. This sandwich comes in around a whopping six inches in diameter!

The chocolate topping hints at the sweetness that awaits you, but when you take a bite you’re hit with an incredibly deep, rich, chocolate filling.

This treat is a mini-pie filled with caramel cream and topped with chocolate mousse and chocolate decoration.

You would think that the star of this one would be the chocolate mousse but it’s really the caramel cream. It closely resembles a custard, and the golden, buttery flavor of both the caramel and the crust paired with the mousse gives that bite of something sweet with just a hint of salt, all wrapped up in a fun presentation.

Most people don’t realize that you can get a Beignet in EPCOT’s France, but it’s true! The Beignets here are filled with chocolate and hazelnut, making a perfect mixture of sweet flavor.

These pastries are fresh and light and just melt in your mouth. The only reason this one ranks where it does on the list is because it is really sweet, like a filled donut, and may be best enjoyed splitting it with someone else.

The Pain au Chocolat, also known as a chocolate croissant, is another crowd-pleaser. It’s pretty straightforward in its description and won’t give you any surprises if you’re looking for a reliable snack.

The Brioche Au Chocolat is exactly what it claims to be — a chocolate chip brioche. This large sweet roll is stuffed with large chocolate chunks inside.

Parfait aux Fruits
The Parfait aux Fruits is made with yogurt, berries, and mousse, but it’s not your typical fruit parfait. Along with the fresh, ripe berries, you’ll find a sweet berry glaze in the middle. The mousse has a yogurt base but is softened as it’s sweetened, so the yogurt tang is still noticeable without the bitterness of traditional yogurt.

This is a perfect snack for someone looking to get a lighter sweet treat, as opposed to some of the heavier sweet pastries at this location.

Chocolate fans will really love the Duo Au Chocolat, which is a chocolate mousse cake. This chocolate treat is served in a dome shape with a small chocolate decoration at the top and almonds around the base. What you’re really looking for with this treat is what you’ll find in the center though, which is made of white and dark chocolate mousse layered over a chocolate cake base.

The mousse is light and fluffy and the white chocolate balances nicely with the rich dark chocolate flavor.

The Croissant Amandes is a chocolate croissant with almond filling. This croissant is topped with powdered sugar as well as candied and regular almonds.

This is a VERY sweet treat! The center is a healthy mixture of chocolate in the croissant and crunchy almonds, which is why we love it so much!

This cheese plate has been upgraded to include five kinds of cheese: blue, goat, brie, gouda, and gruyere.

Each of these flavors is really great on its own but could be so much more if you pair them with another savory snack like a baguette.

The Macaron Lime Raspberry is made with raspberries and lime cream in the center of a macaron. Inside the macaron, you’ll taste the tangy raspberry jam and sweet lime cream that balances out the tart raspberries.

While they’re no true authentic Parisian macaron, they’re the next best thing we have in EPCOT.

This Creme Brulee is exactly as you would imagine it should be with its flame-heated, crunchy layer of sugar sitting over top of the fluffy brulee.

This is a great treat but just hits about average on the creme brulee scale for us. It’s certainly not anything to turn your nose away from, but not the most exciting thing to choose when visiting France.

The Napoleonis a puff pastry with cream. There is a glazed sugar fondant top with a light cream interior. This pastry has also been changed over the years, eventually landing its current form in this more traditional presentation of a French Napoleon.

We also caution that the filling in this pastry can get a bit messy — like a cheesecake. You’ll probably want to grab some napkins before taking your first bite!

This decadent treat is a tart made with vanilla cream topped with strawberries.

If you’re a huge strawberry fan, it’s really hard to pass this one up, and for the price!
Biscuit Chocolat
The Biscuit Chocolat is a doughy cookie absolutely stuffed with chunks of chocolate. This one is also fairly priced for the size of this cookie and matches in deliciousness.

If you’re not up to tackling this whole cookie on your own, it’s a great treat to share that’s nice and thick and beautifully baked. This one ranked on our list where it is solely because it is just a chocolate chip cookie after all up against all these adventurous sweet and savory options.

The Mousse Au Chocolat is, well… chocolate mousse. This version of chocolate mousse is rich, but at the same time, it’s also light and creamy. It’s a bit light of a taste for chocolate lovers, which is good if you’re looking for something sweet but not too filling!

The crunchy pearls at the top add great texture to the mousse to give it an extra edge, but this one ranks a bit lower because we’ve got several versions of chocolate mousse in EPCOT, and it feels a bit redundant against so many other exciting flavors.

The Macarons Collection is super portable which is the advantage of this treat. The collection includes six different macarons in flavors like pistachio, vanilla, and chocolate.

So we got a hint that this new store was coming to Disney Springs, thanks to a job listing on ZipRecruiter for a Rothy’s Store Manager in Disney Springs. Well, Disney Springs doesn’t yet have a Rothy’s, so that’s a good indicator that it will be getting a store soon! The job was also listed on the Rothy’s website.
Rothy’s is a popular retail store that makes washable shoes and bags out of recyclable materials. The company is particularly known for its comfy flats. Although the shoes are kind of pricey (around $130 per pair), there are many folks who swear by them for both style and comfort. The company also makes handbags and totes.
So, if you’ve been looking to try out Rothy’s for yourself, you may soon be able to shop the brand right in Disney Springs. We’re all about some new shopping opportunities in Disney World! Gotta have those ears
Minnie ears are a pretty iconic souvenir, after all — wearing them is part of the fun of visiting Disney World. Plus, so many awesome pairs are available right now, including some gorgeous new Coco Ears, those incredible Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers ears that gave us nostalgic feels, and the spooky Minnie Mouse Vampire Bat Ears. But those ears can get expensive. What if we told you there was a way to get a UNIQUE pair of ears in Disney World for just $10?
Well, there’s a fun activity happening over at Disney’s Grand Floridian Hotel, where you can custom-make your own ears! You can choose between Mickey Ears for just $8 or Minnie Ears for $10 (these come with a bow). You start by deciding if your ears will have a bow or not.

Then you can choose what you want to add to them — it’s entirely up to you. So you can create a pair of ears that are unlike anyone else’s. How fun is that? You can choose from all kinds of fun things to add to your ears, like stars, cowboy boots, flowers, animals, and more.
Add your details
Once you’re done, you have a brand new pair of ears that cost less than HALF of what those ears cost in stores.
