If you’ve ever wanted to celebrate your love of Disney’s global parks while simultaneously promoting environmental causes, you’re in luck — a new “Love Our Disney Theme Parks” shirt is now available for purchase in Disneyland Park.

‘Love Our Disney Theme Parks’ Shirt – $39.99

We found this shirt at Disney Clothiers, located on Main Street, U.S.A.

The shirt is an apt earth tone, its slightly off-white base serving as a canvas for the orange and teal detailing that provides pops of color. Its bright orange rounded collar matches the hue of some of the lettering on the shirt’s front.

“Love Our Disney Parks” is written in an orange and teal type with the color of the lettering alternating in an indistinct pattern. The font frames the teal outline of the universal recycling symbol, with the Disneyland-branded recycling bin layered atop the logo tying together this shirt’s environmentally-cautious message. Teal flowers with orange centers add a bit more environmental imagery to the bottom of the shirt, and the Disneyland Resort logo appears underneath all of the type.

The back of the shirt features no branding or detailing, keeping a plain beige color.

New Disney Parks Clothing line

The new “Love Our Disney Theme Parks” shirt is part of a Disney Parks-centric clothing line, and while this specific shirt was the only part of the collection that we found at Disneyland, we recently found the entire line at Star Traders in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World.

The only noticeable difference between the Disneyland and Walt Disney World versions of this shirt is the resort-specific branding; the “Walt Disney World” logo appears on the version we found at Star Traders, and there’s a Walt Disney World icon on the recycling bin as opposed to a Disneyland logo.

The larger collection includes a teal sweatshirt featuring a moonlit Cinderella Castle, orange sweat-shorts, and a white t-shirt that wishes the person behind the wearer “a magical day at the park.” To check out the entire collection as it appears at Magic Kingdom, click here.

We even recently found the “Love Our Disney Theme Parks” branding on another piece of merchandise. In late June, the “Love Our Disney Theme Parks” lettering (including the recycling symbol and bin) appeared on a beige reusable water bottle at the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom.

Disney’s Environmental Efforts

Disney Parks & Resorts hopes to achieve zero landfill waste by 2030. At the forefront of this effort has been the phasing out of single-use plastic straws and stirrers at Disney Parks, with the parks-wide initiative commencing in 2018. Disney’s Environmental Goals Program states that the initiative has been successful thus far, as the company has “eliminated over 200 million plastic straws and stirrers,” “completed removal of polystyrene cups,” and “reduced plastics in over 15,000 . . . guest rooms by 80 percent” since the effort began.

Paper straws were implemented to replace plastic straws, and Disney Parks & Resorts even plans on cutting back on these. As of August 21, 2023, Walt Disney World Resort no longer hands out paper straws and plastic lids at quick-service restaurants. They are still available upon request.

We recently stumbled upon this mashup of everyone’s favorite living doll and the cartoon cat with no mouth to scream at the 5 and 10 in Universal Studios Florida. This duality of iconic characters intended to be both cute and terrifying adorns several new items, joining the collection we first spotted a few weeks ago .

Hello Kitty Chucky Purse – $60.00

This purse features the Hello Kitty-Chucky combination, prominently displayed on the front of a yellow bag. “Good Guys” is replaced with “Good Girls” on the front of the overalls, as the artwork of the Hello Kitty head seems to be gruesomely stitched together.

The shoulder strap is striped like Chucky’s iconic shirt and socks.

A small raggedy stuffed bear with several loving repairs is attached to the side of the bag.

The back of the bag bears the mashup logo.

The small text beneath says: “She wants YOU for a best friend.”

Hello Kitty Chucky Bucket Hat – $30.00

A spooky bucket hat featuring bloody stitch detailing and the mashup logo is also available.

The same little bear is screen printed on this denim blue hat.

Hello Kitty is also on the side of the hat, still appearing a little worse for wear.

The “Good Girls” slogan from her overalls is on the side of the hat on a small false pocket design. The pocket has a button detail as well.

The inside of the bucket hat is lined in the same aforementioned striped Chucky style.

Hello Kitty Chucky Card Wallet – $35.00

This yellow wallet featuring a cut-out of Hello Kitty with her little bear is also available. The card wallet features a snap closure hidden behind the character strap.

The back of the wallet features the same stripe design and the mashup logo.

Even though today is the final day of this year’s pin trading event at Walt Disney World Resort, Magic HAP-Pins, next year’s event has already been announced — and it’s titled “Disney After Dark.”

Disney After Dark 2024 Pin Event

The poster for the 2024 pin event was set up on the convention floor.

The design for the poster features a dark brick wall with green, purple, and pink neon depicting Maleficent surrounded by pink flames. “Disney After Dark 2024 Pin Event” is written in neon below her.

While details for next year’s event have not yet been shared, this year’s event offered a multitude of offerings depending on which of the two packages guests purchased. Some of those offerings included a trading area, trading activities with Disney and other guests, opportunities to meet Disney Pin Partners, and more.

This year also saw the introduction of pin vending machines, a first for Walt Disney World Resort.

If you hope to attend next year’s pin event, you’ll want to be quick once tickets go on sale. This year’s event sold out in a matter of minutes after ticket packages were released.

Guests at the 2023 Magic HAP-Pins event at Walt Disney World have been treated to a first look at many holiday pin designs for the 2023 season. Some of these designs will be featured on other merchandise available this year on shopDisney and in the parks, resorts, and destinations around the globe. Let’s peek under the wrapping of each of these early holiday gifts.

Disney Holiday Pins

Happy Holidays Disney Vacation Club Pin

This pin features a piece of this year’s holiday art, with Mickey offering Minnie a gift. Mickey is wearing a Santa hat, and Minnie’s peppermint-striped dress is trimmed in white. The two are celebrating around a large Christmas tree. A snowman wearing sunglasses stands to the left, and he has a packed suitcase next to him. The top of the pin reads, “Happy Holidays.” The Disney Vacation Club logo is also printed at the top of the pin.

Genie Holiday Pin

Genie appears in cutout on this pin, offering a wrapped green and red package.

Good Tides We Bring Disney Cruise Line Holiday Pin

This pin features a piece of this year’s cruise line holiday art. Captain Minne and Captain Mickey are on this pin, enjoying the season. The pin reads, “Good tides we bring”, and the bottom of the pin features an outline of a Disney Cruise Line ship and the Disney Cruise line logo.

Merry Sithmas Holiday Pin

This pin features a festive holiday scene with Darth Vader and a young Leia & Luke exchanging gifts around the tree. A heavy Death Star ornament weighs down the top of their tree bowing it over. The pin reads, “Merry Sithmas” in red at the bottom. The children are playing with The Force as Darth Vader looks on, and a gift is on a slider in the middle of the pin to pass between the two children.

Aloha Kalikimaka Pin

Mickey and Minnie enjoy a holiday in the sand on this festive pin. The words, “Aloha Kalikimaka” are written over the beach scene. The famous mice are dressed for the Hawaiian weather and have donned Santa hats.

Stitch Laughing All The Way Holiday Pin

Everyone’s favorite little blue alien, Stitch, is going cruising in his new ride with the bow still attached on this pin. Presents fly out of his space cruiser, and the large text reads, “Laughing All The Way.”

Alice and Cheshire Cat Two Pin Set

This two pin set features Alice with a Cheshire-striped gift and Cheshire Cat with a gift decorated to look like Alice’s dress.

Aloha Kalikimaka Aulani Pin

Duffy and Shelly Mae decorate a palm tree with beach-like ornaments on this pin. The bears wear festive hats and beach attire. The text on the banner reads “Aloha Kalikimaka” and features the Aulani logo in white beneath the pin’s image.

Simba Holiday Pin

Simba stands on a red wrapped gift, recreating his “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” leaf mane moment with a festive holiday wreath.

Minnie Mouse Holiday Pin

Minnie is featured solo on this pin in her 2023 Holiday art design. She wears a burgundy capelet over her red, white, and cream striped dress. She is holding a sack over her shoulder, and the whole outfit and pose is a subtle reference to the Tightrope Walker from The Haunted Mansion attraction.

Mickey Mouse Holiday Pin

Mickey has his own pin with his 2023 Holiday art design as well. He wears a Santa coat and hat over his vest, tie, and slacks. He is balancing a gift on one finger in this pin design.

Happy Holidays Countdown Limited Release Pin

This pin has Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto enjoying the snow in the pin’s snow globe design. The pin is a spinner and the countdown calendar can be altered with the dials.

Happy Holidays Limited Edition Holiday Pin

This pin has the full scene of this year’s holiday art. It reads “Happy Holidays” and shows Pluto, Daisy, Donald, Minnie, Mickey, and Goofy celebrating around the Christmas tree and in front of a fireplace. This art will appear on other merchandise throughout the season.

Disneyland Limited Edition Magic Key Holder Happy Holidays Boxed Pin and Ornament Set

This Limited Edition set features the Magic Key logo in the corner of the packaging. Pluto is the star of the pin in the set, and his banner reads, “Holiday Greetings.” The ornament in the set has a domed snow-filled glass front and a red ribbon hanger. Inside the snow globe, we see this year’s Mickey and Minnie holiday art.

Walt Disney World Limited Edition Annual Passholder Happy Holidays Boxed Pin and Ornament Set

This Limited Edition set is identical to the set above, except for the branding on the packaging. Pluto is the star of the pin in the set, and his banner reads, “Holiday Greetings.” The ornament in the set has a domed snow-filled glass front and a red ribbon hanger. Inside the snow globe, we see this year’s Mickey and Minnie holiday art.

Happy Holidays Goofy Limited Edition Pin

The following three limited edition pins all have scenes enclosed within a green “Happy Holidays” wreath dotted with red Mickey Mouse ears and a red bow with the Disney Pins logo beneath. For the first pin, Goofy can be seen with a large stack of presents in his hands, with more gifts totally surrounding him.

Happy Holidays Minnie Mouse Limited Edition Pin

In the next scene, Minnie stands contentedly over a massive holiday banquet of cakes, pastries, and sweets.

Happy Holidays Mickey Mouse and Pluto Limited Edition Pin

The last in this set depicts Mickey on a sleigh, as Pluto dashes forward through a snowy winter wonderland.

Donald Holiday Wreath Pin with Bell

This pin depicts Donald Duck with a gleeful holiday expression resting his arm on a wreath. The wreath is adorned with a yellow bow and candy canes, while a miniature bell dangles from the bottom.

Happy Holidays Limited Edition Character Pins

These limited edition character pins all share the same basic style with varying classic Disney and Pixar pals. All have a wooden-looking frame with a red ribbon ornament hook attached. The green board the pins are attached to are designed to make it look as if these pins are dangling from a Christmas tree. “Happy Holidays” and “2023” are written on each. Character choices include Belle & Beast, Lilo & Stitch, Anna & Elsa, and Mike & Sulley.

Another 2024 calendar has arrived at Disneyland Resort. A standard 2024 16-month calendar was released in June, but this new 12-month calendar features Walt Disney World Live Entertainment art posters. Yes, the posters are all from Walt Disney World, not Disneyland. We first found the calendar in Florida.

Disney Attraction Poster Calendar Featuring Entertainment – $29.99

Thia calendar is available at World of Disney in the Downtown Disney District.

Each poster page is 11″ x 14″. There are perforations for neatly pulling the posters out of the calendar.

The 12 posters are for various year-round and seasonal entertainment experiences from Walt Disney World Resort.

The first poster features Te Fiti holding Moana for “A World of Voices,” Disney’s celebration of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. “A World of Voices” is usually celebrated in May, for Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, but the poster’s placement suggests it is on the January page.

Next up is “Happily Ever After,” the fan-favorite Magic Kingdom fireworks spectacular. You may recognize this poster from the Magic Kingdom entrance tunnel.

The third poster (presumably for March) features Mickey and Minnie, “the master magicians,” representing the Town Square Theater meet and greet.

For April, Earth Month, characters from “Up” are pictured, honoring the Wilderness Explorers experience at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, though the poster is modeled after the photo op at the front of the park.

May is represented by the Festival of Fantasy Parade poster. June features stylized artwork of Simba for “Celebrating the Lion King,” which was a 2019 celebration in honor of the film’s 25th anniversary.

July features the poster for “Disney Enchantment,” the now-defunct 50th anniversary fireworks show from Magic Kingdom. August features a “Fantasmic!” poster.

September is starting to get spooky with Disney Villains After Hours. The poster features Hades, his flaming blue hair forming the silhouettes of different Disney Villains and Cinderella Castle. Disney Villains After Hours last took place in the summer of 2020.

A Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party poster occupies the October artwork.

As Halloween ends and winter begins, fans can enjoy beautiful Merry Menagerie artwork in November. This popular puppet show is an interactive musical experience that takes place on Discovery Island at Disney’s Animal Kingdom each winter.

Finally, December is represented with a poster for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, featuring Mickey placing a star on a Christmas tree.

Celebrate galactic fast food with a new McDonald’s Happy Meal-inspired Star Wars Bantha Burgers Loungefly purse, visor, and magnet. The purse and visor are available at Star Traders in Disneyland, while the magnet is in World of Disney at the Downtown Disney District.

In the “Star Wars” series, Banthas are large mammoth-like creatures native to Tatooine. They’re often used by Tusken Raiders and first appeared in “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.”

Star Wars Bantha Burgers Visor – $29.99

The visor resembles one worn by a McDonald’s employee, with a bit of a retro touch. The brim is a translucent red with an image of a Bantha on it.

The black fabric on the front of the head strap features a Bantha Burgers logo, with the name printed in English and Aurebesh. The twin suns of Tatooine are in the background.

The back of the head strap is striped red and white.

There’s padding on the inside.

Star Wars Bantha Burgers Loungefly Bag – $95

The purse is mainly red and shaped like the distinctive Happy Meals box, with two handles on top.

Embroidered on the top of one side is the Bantha Burgers logo.

Below that is an image of a Bantha Burger with a blue bun, French fries in a red container, a blue ice cream cone, Bantha Milk, and a Bantha box. The meal apparently comes “complete with droid toy.”

The other side of the purse resembles the pictured Bantha box. It’s brown, with fur seeming to hang over its eyes, a white mouth, and black nostrils. Two curled yellow horns stick out of the top.

The “Star Wars” and Loungefly plaque is on one of the small side panels.

On the other small side is a Bantha Milk container bag charm.

The 2% Bantha Milk is from Tatooine Farms.

This is actually a small zip pouch, perfect for change.

Behind the detachable bag charm is another Bantha Burgers logo.

Bantha Burgers are “free range & locally sourced!”

The purse snaps closed. The interior lining is striped red and white.

It comes with a detachable red crossbody strap.

Bantha Burgers Magnet – $14.99

This magnet is a rounded square featuring a Wookiee resembling Chewbacca eating a blue Bantha Burger.

“Try a delicious Bantha Burger” is at the top. The bottom reads: “Served on our signature blue milk bun!”

There are several temporary CLOSURES in Disney World right now, including a couple of rides in Magic Kingdom and a few restaurants across the resort. But here’s the good news: One of those closures is ENDING soon!

A Magic Kingdom attraction is reopening next week after its brief temporary closure. Let’s take a look at that reopening and what will still be CLOSED from August 27th through September 3rd so that you’re prepared for your next trip.

Liberty Square Riverboat Is REOPENING in Magic Kingdom

The Liberty Square Riverboat is going to be temporarily closed for a few days this coming week, but it will reopen on August 30th!

This boat ride in the middle of Magic Kingdom was closed for just over a week for routine refurbishments.

It’s showing opening hours again on the 30th, so as long as everything goes according to plan, it should be available again soon.

Other Temporary Closures in Disney World

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom

Splash Mountain closed on January 23rd for a long refurbishment. The ride is being re-themed to become Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, with a Princess and the Frog theme.

The new ride will reopen sometime in late 2024. We’ll be watching for more updates on the reopening timeline. The tree at the top of this ride has been removed as Disney continues construction, and several new rock structures have been built at the bottom of the drop. There’s a new water tower as well, which says “Tiana’s Foods” on the front and “Never, ever lose sight of what’s really important” on the back. It’s topped with Tiana’s crown, which has two stars on it to represent Ray and Evangeline.

Barrel Bridge on Tom Sawyer Island in Magic Kingdom

Over on Tom Sawyer Island, the Barrel Bridge is currently missing.

A Cast Member told us that it had been removed for maintenance, and they didn’t know when it might return. The rest of the island is still open to explore, though.

Don’t let this Magic Kingdom store change catch you off guard!

Traveler’s Cafe in EPCOT

Traveler’s Cafe is the old Starbucks location, which closed when Connections Cafe opened in World Celebration. Lately, we’ve spotted some changes to this spot (including a new paint job), so we’re wondering if that could mean it will reopen soon!

According to the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival map, it looks like this spot will be the location for Swirled Showcase when it opens as a new festival marketplace booth on September 22nd.

Restaurant Marrakesh in EPCOT

Almost all of the restaurants that were closed in EPCOT during the 2020 park closure have reopened — all but one, that is! Restaurant Marrakesh in the Morocco Pavilion is still closed with no word on when it will reopen.

Since closing, the empty restaurant has been used as a relaxation station, a lounge…pretty much everything but dining!

Voyage of the Little Mermaid in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

This Little Mermaid-themed stage show has been closed in Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a long time now.

Disney hasn’t announced when or if the Voyage of the Little Mermaid will reopen.

This Disney World app update will make your Hollywood Studios day better!

Blizzard Beach

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park has officially reopened, but now the other water park, Blizzard Beach, has closed for refurbishment.

The BEST Rides at Blizzard Beach, Ranked

1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

At Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, 1900 Park Fare is a table service restaurant where you could meet characters like Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland at their Supercalifragilistic Breakfast and Cinderella and her Prince Charming during the Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner.

They also had a special event for younger children called the Wonderland Tea Party. It’s sad to see a spot closed that had so much character interaction! Disney hasn’t announced a permanent closure, so there is hope for 1900 Park Fare.

With 1900 Park Fare closed…you’ll need this SECRET spot to get afternoon tea in Disney World!
