It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas over at the Walt Disney World 2023 Magic HAP-Pins event in Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, where guests were treated with a first look at holiday pins celebrating Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion and “it’s a small world” holiday overlays.
Haunted Mansion Holiday Pins
A limited edition Sandy Claws Jack Skellington spinner pin will be available. It says “Haunted Mansion Holiday” on the plaque.
Jack is dressed up in his Santa disguise, and the spinner rotates to reveal different facial expressions for Jack within the frame.
This pin set features characters from Nightmare Before Christmas on separate pins. When you align the 10 holiday pins together, they form the outline of The Haunted Mansion’s facade from Disneyland.
This jumbo pin features the Mayor of Halloweentown, Santa Jack (or Sandy Claws Jack), and the Harlequin Demon posed as the hitchhiking ghosts in front of the Haunted Mansion. Zero soars overhead in front of the moon.
This pin features The Haunted Mansion Holiday logo and Santa Jack holding his head aloft to vocalize in chorus with the singing busts.
Finally, for Haunted Mansion Holiday, this limited edition pin features intricate detail. The Haunted Mansion is adorned with pumpkins and icicles, while chains hold back the festive spookiness within. Zero seems to be winning his game of chase around the front of the mansion.
“its a small world” Holiday Pins
We also spotted a few new “it’s a small world” Holiday pins on display.
This “it’s a small world” Holiday spinner pin features a gingerbread person, a drummer, and the attraction logo. The clock face is wearing a Santa hat, and the white band of the hat rotates to say a variety of seasonal greetings from around the world.
The “it’s a small world” Holiday Mystery Pin Set will be limited release, and it will feature eight pins. Each pin has a different character with a special “happy holidays” greeting in a language from that character’s native language in which their story is set. A notable variation includes Donald, who has a Yiddish “Happy Holidays” greeting. Characters on the other seven pins include Pinocchio, Miguel, Stitch, Snow White, Belle, Mulan, and Mickey Mouse.
Are you ready to ring in the season with these holiday pins, or is it too early to think about the holidays at Disneyland? Let us know in the comments.

We are finishing up the royal celebration of World Princess Week with a… gong? “Bang” just didn’t seem very Princess-like; gongs are fancy, right? Anyhoo, earlier today, we picked out our family movie from the list of official Disney Princesses, and now we are looking at some tasty snack options to enjoy with our movie. I picked Tangled with Rapunzel; what did you pick to watch with the family? While you are enjoying the tail end of summer, what better snack to make with your family than one that includes ice cream? I know what you are thinking; Who has hours to make their own ice cream? Well, no need for all that extra time. Here is a recipe from Disney that will have you enjoying your icy cold snack very quickly. Let’s take a look:
Now that the kids have had a chance to have fun, here is a collection of ten Disney Princess-inspired recipes that you can use to take the occasion to the next level. The video includes Belle’s Breakfast Porridge, Cinderella’s Pumpkin Waffles, Snow White’s Baked Apples, Disney Emoji Blitz Cookies, Snow White Apples, Cinderella’s Pumpkin Quinoa, Aurora’s Pink & Blue Cupcakes, Snow White’s Apple Salad, Rapunzel’s Raspberry Pie, and of course, The Grey Stuff!
Aren’t those Snow White Apples so cute? Those are great to pull out at a Princess-themed birthday party as well. What will you be making to go with your movie night? For us, it’s going to be the Rapunzel Raspberry Pie. This will go perfectly with my Tangled theme and is a cold-weather favorite down here, where it is currently the winter season in Australia.

Guests at the 2023 Magic HAP-Pins pin trading event this morning got a sneak peek at the new art style for 2024 dated merchandise in an upcoming collection of 2024 pins and accessories, including a starter set, lanyard, blind box, and more. We recently noticed this new 2024 iconography on a Walt Disney World calendar.
Pins with 2024 Dated Merchandise Logo Sneak Peek
The display of pins features next year’s packaging and signature colorway, with a vibrant yellow and stars in the packaging.
The starter set has a Disney castle with fireworks on its front, with 2024 Disney Pins prominently written on the bottom. This pin lanyard is striped with green, blue, pink, and yellow and has an allover print of the year and stars.
We saw another 2024 lanyard on display, this one darker in color and featuring characters like Minnie Mouse and Dumbo in flight, as well as park iconography, such as the castle and a Tiki Room bird in flight.
This pin set features the year on each of the six pins, with a different character popping out of the zero on each: Dumbo, Simba, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Genie, and Cheshire Cat.
These individual 2024 pins all prominently feature the year. In the image above on the right, there are individual pins with Donald, Chip & Dale, Pluto, and Goofy.
We spotted the 2024 Disney Cruise Line pin with Captain Minnie and Captain Mickey. The pin says, “Where magic meets the sea” above a profile view of a Disney Cruise Line Ship. The center of this pin has a DCL ship from the bow in a stylized night scene, complete with stars and mermaids in the water below.
There is also an Aulani 2024 pin on display, with Mickey and Minnie in tropical outfits in front of the resort. A rainbow stretches above to complete the scene.
The 2024 pins for the parks are also on display. The Disneyland pin and Walt Disney World pin each feature Mickey and Minnie Mouse and their park’s pink castle, presenting a different look for the Disneyland 2024 dated merchandise. The Disneyland pin says, “The happiest place on earth” above the castle’s fireworks, and the Walt Disney World pin says, “The most magical place on earth.”
On the card in the image above, Mickey is featured surrounded by Disney and Pixar icons like the Luxo ball and Mickey’s sorcerer hat. There is also a pin with the same border featuring Stitch.
Finally, the classic spinner pin returns with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald on a spinner ring around the 2024 date. The stationary part of this pin has a night sky with fireworks.
The blind box set features a different disney character on each, surrounded by Disney and Pixar icons like the Mickey and Stitch pin above. The featured characters are Winnie the Pooh, Mushu, Orange Bird, SImba, Genie, Dumbo, Cheshire Cat, and Chip.
Will you be adding some of these 2024 pins to your collection? let us know in the comments.
Did World Princess Week at Disney get you in the mood for some family movie action? Me too! I’ve already settled on one of my favorites for this week, Tangled, but if you are still trying to decide what to enjoy for Family Movie Night, here is a little bit of help. Did you know that Disney’s official Princess website lists thirteen royal ladies? Contrary to popular belief, there is one more than the commonly thought twelve Disney Princesses. Here is the official list of the Princesses from Disney, along with their original movies you can see them in.
Snow White – Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs (1937)
Cinderella – Cinderella (1950)
Aurora – Sleeping Beauty (1959)
Ariel – The Little Mermaid (1989)
Belle – Beauty and the Beast (1991)
Jasmine – Aladdin (1992)
Pocahontas – Pocahontas (1995)
Mulan – Mulan (1998)
Tiana – The Princess and the Frog (2009)
Rapunzel – Tangled (2010)
Merida – Brave (2012)
Moana – Moana (2016)
Raya – Raya and the Last Dragon (2021)
Even though I am assuming she isn’t on the list because she is a Queen, not a Princess, I’m adding Elsa – Frozen (2013) to the list as well, for good measure. Which movie will you be watching this weekend? Stay with us later in the day for some Princess-inspired snacks to accompany your royal film.
Law enforcement responded to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT after a confrontation between two strangers over a bump in line at EPCOT during the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
Woman Allegedly Knocked Down at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
A woman named Tiffani claimed an elderly man pushed past her, knocking her down in the line for the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind coaster. She fell and twisted her ankle, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s report released this week. Tiffani declined medical treatment, but insisted on pressing criminal charges.
But the man, Michael, insisted he hadn’t intentionally done anything wrong, and the sheriff’s office believed him. Michael, 65, stood 5-foot-5-inches tall and weighed 130 pounds, the report emphasized. He was not arrested, and Disney did not trespass either party.
The confrontation happened after Michael, who was from Northern Ireland, took his grandchild to the restroom, and then rejoined the rest of his family in line on July 3.
In Tiffani’s version of the event, the 37-year-old Tennessean told authorities “she was approached by a woman and a child asking to pass them in line to meet up with their husband. Tiffani suggested that she ask her husband to stop and wait for her to catch up. Tiffani then heard a man’s voice ask her, ‘So you’re not going to let us pass?’ Before Tiffani could respond, the white male pushed her out of the way.”
There was plenty of space for Michael to go around her in the Cosmic Rewind queue without touching her, said Tiffani, who wanted to press criminal charges.
Other guests witnessed what happened, according to Tiffani, although authorities didn’t interview them.
In Michael’s version of events, he walked past Tiffani in line. He claimed that Tiffani thought he was cutting in line and refused to let him pass.
“[Michael] explained to her that he was passing back through the line because he took his grandson to the bathroom and he walked around Tiffani. [Michael] advised at no point did he touch or push Tiffani,” the report said.
If there was physical contact, Michael acknowledged it might have been from his backpack.
Michael said he wasn’t “walking fast enough through the line to cause anyone to come off-balance or fall down because the line was crowded,” the report also said.
The deputy listened to both sides, noting that Michael had a thick Irish accent which made it difficult to understand him and get his statement. After hearing both sides, the deputy decided not to take action.
“I don’t feel there is substantial evidence to enforce an arrest for battery. At no time was (‘Michael’s) encounter with Tiffani meant to intentionally cause harm and if there was contact between the two [it was] unintentional,” the deputy wrote in the report.
Michael’s day at EPCOT ended after that event, as he and his party decided to leave. Tiffani and her family remained at the theme park.
Disney Lorcana’s X feed revealed the in-park release date for the game.
Disney Lorcana In-Park Sales Release Date Announced
Starter packs and booster backs will be available at World of Disney in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World and at Disney Pin Traders in Downown Disney District at Disneyland Resort beginning August 28th.
