You might have noticed that Disney stepped up the magic in the theme parks this week for World Princess Week. Just last weekend, the festivities began as new food and drink items were introduced, Princesses arrived for memorable character meet and greets, and some very special wishes were being granted to young Disney fans who deserve some extra pixie dust. What an adventure! Though, the fun isn’t over yet.
The new limited-time Princess Ruby Chocolate Bars can now be found at The Ganachery in Disney Springs until August 31st. Each bar has a delicate Princess design on the top in delightful ruby chocolate, with pistachios, crisp raspberries, and white crisp pearls.
The Ganachery can be found in The Landing district of Disney Springs and is a great location to find a sweet treat to try or stock up on special goodies to take home for loved ones.
In honor of World Princess Week, Disney Parks has shared details about a new “Cinderella”-inspired wedding carriage coming soon to Disneyland Resort.
Cinderella Platinum Wedding Coach
Married couples at Disneyland Resort can travel by horse-drawn carriage and a new coach is joining the fleet.
The new carriage is white and gold, with a golden pumpkin on top, scrollwork, and lanterns, all inspired by Cinderella’s carriage in the animated film.
The carriage’s official name is the Cinderella Platinum Coach, named in honor of The Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary.
More details will be announced soon about the Cinderella Platinum Coach.
One of the most beloved princess-inspired experiences offered by Disney Weddings is arriving and departing the wedding ceremony in a royal carriage. This experience is available exclusively for Disney Wedding guests and is everything that any princess could ever wish for. Disney Weddings has shared details on the newest coach being added to the mix, and it’s a pretty special one.
The official name of the carriage coming to Disneyland Resort is the Cinderella Platinum Coach! This new coach is a horse-drawn carriage that was inspired by the carriage in the classic Walt Disney Animation Studios film Cinderella. The pumpkin shape, gold color highlights, scrollwork, and lantern details are some elements from the film that carried over into the design.
Disney says more details are coming in the near future about the Cinderella Platinum Coach, so stay tuned!

The struggle is real when it comes to Disney dining! There are so many options that you are often left deciding between the desire to keep trying something new and sticking with your old favorites. As a non-local, I get maybe a week a year to experience Walt Disney World, so trying new things is a priority for my family. We love experiencing new spots, new rides, new shows… and most of all, new restaurants. With that said, the one meal we never skip in Disney is at Columbia Harbour House. Located in Liberty Square in the Magic Kingdom, this restaurant is easy to miss as you’re walking by, but for us, it’s a main attraction.
When you get inside Columbia Harbour House (CHH), immediately head up the stairs. At the top of the stairs is a seating area that is always less populated than the downstairs main dining room. Our family consistently seeks out one of the tables with a window seat, overlooking the hustle and bustle of Liberty Square. From there, we can relax, enjoy our meal, and cool off for a bit. Without fail this becomes a highlight of the trip for me because it’s one of the rare moments where we can relax and just take it in. I love that we can still see the hustle and bustle, but aren’t part of it.
As far as the food, CHH is always consistent. We have eaten here many times, and each time our meal is hot, quick, and tasty. The last two times we dined here, I mobile ordered, and both times my meal was ready within a minute or two of me selecting that I was in the restaurant. As a fan of mobile order, I know this is not how it always is, often having to wait upwards of 10 minutes for food after selecting that I have arrived. CHH is speedy, which is greatly appreciated when I have a hungry family.
Our favorites are the lobster roll for my husband, the fried shrimp for my son, and the grilled shrimp and hushpuppies for me. Pro tip: Since I sometimes struggle to decide what to order, I often get the kids’ grilled shrimp meal and the kids’ fried shrimp meal for myself! This comes out to 6 shrimp total between the two meals, and I usually pass the kids’ meal fries on to my family while I focus on the rice, green beans, and hushpuppies myself. The seasoning on the grilled shrimp is my favorite. It’s somewhat smokey and full of flavor. The seasonings always compliment the rice well and just make for a nice, light, meal. The hushpuppies are the real star of the show, though. I love those sweet balls of corn goodness. It’s a nice change from the usual side dishes you find around Disney, offering a nice alternative to French fries.
If you’ve never tried Columbia Harbour House, do yourself a favor and give it a shot. Be sure to head upstairs and keep your eyes out for the tables with the window view. You’ll be glad you tried it!

By all accounts, Japan’s version of a Disney theme park is nothing short of impressive. With two major parks, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, guests of this Disney region have a unique opportunity to enjoy a different approach to theme park life. Known for their attention to detail and celebration of all things cute, the experience on offer at the Tokyo-based Disney Resort has a wonderful integration of Japanese food and culture while also offering some of what is arguably one of the best theme park experiences in the world. Get ready for the stakes to be raised! In Spring 2024, Tokyo DisneySea will be welcoming the eighth port in the park, Fantasy Springs.
Brand new details have just been announced for the new port that will host the areas Rapunzel’s Forest, Peter Pan’s Never Land, and Frozen Kingdom, including information on attractions, restaurants, and the new resort that will stand alongside the port. Let’s take a look:
Rapunzel’s Forest – New Attraction + Restaurant
A tower stands in Rapunzel’s Forest where the long-haired princess, Rapunzel, has lived since she was a child. Here you can experience Rapunzel’s “best day ever” on Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival attraction, where Rapunzel falls in love with Flynn Rider on a romantic boat ride to the annual Lantern Festival. When a hungry stomach comes calling after this love-filled adventure, enjoy a meal at The Snuggly Duckling restaurant, reminiscent of the establishment by the same name from the film, in a variety of atmospheric dining areas.
Adventures await throughout Peter Pan’s Never Land where guests can explore a pirate ship, dine in a secret hideaway or encounter pirates. Experience Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure, join the Lost Kids as they explore Never Land with Peter Pan and Tinker Bell as well as help rescue John from Captain Hook. Elsewhere, guests can help Tinker Bell deliver parcels and packages to the four seasonal areas of Pixie Hollow on the Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies attraction.
Dine like the Lost Kids at Lookout Cookout, which is also their hideout! Made from found objects and shipwrecked parts, not only can you enjoy delicious food, but also beautiful views of Never Land.
Frozen Kingdom – New Attraction + Restaurant & Snack Cabin
Set after the events of “Frozen,” Frozen Kingdom is a place of happiness where Queen Elsa has embraced her ice magic. During Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey, relive the tale of two sisters and how they discovered that true love can thaw a frozen heart alongside fan-favorite songs from the film.
At Royal Banquet of Arendelle restaurant, you will find both an indoor and a covered outdoor dining area with beautiful views of the fjord cliffs and mountains in the distance. In need of a snack? Oaken, the owner of the cabin and sauna featured in the film, has you covered at Oaken’s OK Foods.
Who else just opened up a separate tab to check on flights to Japan? If that isn’t enough, there will also be a new Fantasy Springs Resort that will sit alongside the eighth port, offering a French cuisine-based buffet and the Grand Paradis Lounge. Though Disney says that officially, inspiration has been drawn from whimsical tales such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Tangled, and Sleeping Beauty, you might agree that in the concept art shown below, the exterior has a distinct Little Mermaid vibe to it. See what you think:
Hey there, fellow thrill-seekers and food enthusiasts! Buckle up as I take you on a spine-chilling, taste bud-tingling journey through Universal Studios Florida’s one-of-a-kind event: “Taste of Terror.” Imagine a place where the scrumptious meets the spine-tingling, where burgers and screams collide – that’s the twisted magic of this prelude to Halloween Horror Nights. So, grab your Blinky cup and your courage as we dive into the spooky and delicious world of “Taste of Terror.”
Picture this: I’m standing at the entrance, heart pounding in anticipation, clutching my ticket to adventure. For $136, I’m about to witness a Halloween Horror Nights teaser like no other. They’re throwing in a Blinky cup, drinks, both spine-chilling and calming, a free photo (proof I survived!), and a whole bunch of drool-worthy dishes. You can also opt for a food-focused ticket if your taste buds are the true thrill-seekers.
I step inside and suddenly, it hits me – the aroma of fear and food (weird combo, I know). There they are, rows of food booths that look straight out of a horror film, but with a side of french fries. Surfer Boy Pizza’s dishing out Hawaiian French bread pizzas that are so good, they’re scary. And don’t even get me started on Smash Burger’s peanut butter wonder – it’s like a burger and a dessert had a baby!
Prepare yourself, because the menu reads like a cryptic riddle of deliciousness. Imagine sinking your teeth into Left Behind Ravioli, covered in truffle cream and topped with tempura-fried enoki mushrooms. Feeling adventurous? The Yeti booth’s got carnivore and vegan poutine that’s out of this world. And the desserts? We’re talking Hellfire Mini Cake and Mini Oreo Mummy Pops – the kind of sweet that sends shivers down your spine.
And if you’re more into tacos than witchcraft, the vegan walking taco is here to blow your taste buds away. Frito chips, vegan chorizo, and a symphony of toppings – it was my favorite thing on the menu.
As I reluctantly bid adieu to the tantalizing terrors and flavors of “Taste of Terror,” I can’t help but reflect on the unforgettable adventure. It’s a fusion of culinary delights and hair-raising haunted scenery that leaves my stomach and my soul craving for more. Universal Studios Orlando Resort has truly brewed a concoction that satiates both my hunger for food and my thirst for screams.
And there you have it, my fellow brave explorers – the wild ride that is “Taste of Terror” at Universal Studios Florida. So, until next time, remember to stay hungry, stay scared, and see you in the fog!
