Ranking EVERY Menu Item at Les Halles in EPCOT

EPCOT is known for some great food, beverages, and festival concerts, but do you really know what to grab when you’re looking for a super quick bite?

France Pavilion

It’s hard to ignore the eats at Connections Eatery and the festival booths that vary depending on when you visit, but if you find yourself wandering the World Showcase in search of another quick bite, we’ve got just the place for you to stop by!

Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie is the counter service restaurant located toward the back of the France pavilion in EPCOT. Unless you’ve found yourself strolling the pavilion or catching the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, chances are you’ve strolled right past it!  This patisserie offers an extensive menu of sandwiches, pastries, desserts, and more, so we can see why it’s so well-loved!

Les Halls

When you step inside you can see all the things to eat in the display cases, from savory sandwiches, cheeses, and bowls…

Sandwiches

… to sweet, warm pastries and treats! So if you’re wondering how could you possibly choose just one thing you’re not alone! However, if you’re only looking to grab one or a few things to try out and are wondering which are the best, don’t worry we’ve taken the guesswork out for you.

MORE treats

We’re ranking EVERYTHING at Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie, now let’s dig in!

Jambon Beurre

The Jambon Beurre (which literally means ham and butter) is a sandwich made with Ham, Cheese, and Dijon Mustard Butter on a Demi Baguette. You can have this sandwich served to you toasted or cold, but we have preferred this one served to us cold.

Jambon Beurre Sandwich

It’s a fairly simple sandwich, which is why we keep coming back for it. We like that this sandwich is dressed with butter rather than mayo, and that it features thickly sliced ham, and Gruyère cheese. If you’re looking for a complex array of flavors, you’ll get your money’s worth in this sandwich.

Brie au Pommes

The Brie au Pommes  (which translates to brie with apples) sandwich is made with Brie, Apples, and Cranberries on Multi-Grain Bread. This is the sandwich that evokes a true Parisian experience.

Brie au Pommes

The sliced brie combined with the sliced apples is a winning combination for us. If you’re really looking to plus up your experience, try it heated! The soft brie really gets to melt with the sweet apples and it’s nothing short of delicious.

Croque Monsieur

The Croque Monsieur sandwich is a French take on a toasted ham and cheese. It’s made with a bechamel sauce and extra toasted Gruyere cheese on top, which makes it equally filling and delicious!

Croque Monsieur

As a heads-up, this is one sandwich you’ll want to try warm, and then come back and tell us how well you liked it, too.

Baguette

Baguettes are served in a full or half-cut and are the epitome of French breads at Les Halles. You can count on them always being fresh, and they are one of the cheapest snacks you can find in all of Disney World.

Baguette

This is a reliable fan favorite that has kept people flocking to Les Halles for a savory snack any time of the day.

Viennoiserie Pomme

The Viennoiserie Pomme is an apple pastry in a fluffy, buttery croissant with an apple pie-like filling. The filling also has cinnamon and contains walnuts and almonds.

Viennoiserie Pomme

The top crumble portion tastes like a sort of oat crumble with cinnamon. Inside the pastry, you’ll find really BIG chunks of cooked apple. The last time we tried this treat it was served to us at room temperature, but we can imagine the flavors (and smells) really developing when warmed up!

Pissaladiere

This savory snack is like France’s version of a pizza. It’s made out of focaccia-like bread topped with cheese, fresh tomatoes, olives, and herbs.

Pissaladiere

We recommend you ask for this to be toasted, as it really helps raise the flavor. The focaccia-style bread makes this snack feel like a personal pan pizza with less sauce.

Tartine Aux Fromages

This beauty is tomato sauce, basil, and cheese (including a whole round of goat cheese) piled on French bread and toasted. The sauce tastes fresh and slightly sweet, and the basil shines through in each bite.

Cheese Tartine

If you’re a goat cheese lover, you’ll really enjoy the giant slice on the top, and if you’re not, it’s easily removed should you wish to enjoy the Tartine without it.

Croissant Jambon Fromage

The savory Croissant Jambon Fromage (croissant with ham and cheese) is another ssnack with stellar value — all the more so because it’s has creamy bechamel sauce, too, just like the Croque Monsieur! The ingredients here are as high quality as we expect from Les Halles — and this sandwich is super cheesy!

Croissant Jambon Fromage

This one is a meal in itself.

Quiche Lorraine

The Quiche Lorraine is made with ham and gruyere cheese, as well as the eggs and cream you typically find in a quiche.

Quiche Lorraine

We think this one is simply delicious as a breakfast option and beg you to try it for yourself.

Florentine Quiche

This spinach and egg custard is topped with a generous pat of creamy goat cheese and then baked in a buttery crust.

Quiche Florentine

If a cast member asks you if you’d like to have it toasted we highly recommend that as it will help bring those cheesy flavors to the forefront.

Croissant Salé

The Croissant Salé is a combination of Eggs, Cheese, and Bacon served on a buttery Croissant. You can have it toasted or served cold, but we’ve preferred to have ours toasted.

Croissant Sale

Inside the flaky croissant, you’ll find the stacked Swiss cheese, egg, and multiple slices of bacon — which is basically a whole breakfast meal wrapped up in a bite, so yummy.

Pain Lard Fromage

This bacon and cheese roll has changed names a few times at Les Halles, but most recently has been dubbed the Pain Lard & Fromage. You may also remember it in a different shape with significantly less bacon… but we’re happy to report that has changed.

Pain Lard au Fromage

This entire snack is made of bacon, cheese, and bread so what’s not to love here? When Disney answered our collective cry for more bacon and delivered that significantly catapulted its ranking in this list.

Bisque de Homard

The Bisque de Homard, or Lobster Bisque in a Bread Bowl, is fairly reasonably priced for a filling and savory meal. On a cooler day, this hearty meal is like a warm hug and knows just how to hit the spot.

Bisque de Homard

If you’re a fan of bread bowls and lobster bisque we think you will love this dish!

Poulet au Pistou

Pesto lovers this one’s for you!  The Poulet au Pistou (aka pesto chicken) is made with Chicken Breast, Cheese, Tomato, Red Onion, and Pesto. This sandwich comes in around a whopping six inches in diameter!

Poulet au Pistou

Not only is it a fully stuffed sandwich, it can be easily shared and is a real value if you plan on picking up a treat for dessert too!

Croissant

The classic pastry, the Croissant, is about as delicious as you can imagine. It’s got all the right buttery flavor mixed into each flaky bite. You can opt to have toasted or eat it as it is.

Croissant

It’s just the right size (and price) to help you feel satisfied with a snack and still leave some room for dessert!

Eclair Chocolate

If you opt to pick up one of the chocolate eclairs you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Eclair Chocolate

The dough on these are fresh, tender, and light. You can also really tell there’s a lot of eggs and butter put into these from the overall yumminess of the pastry itself.  The chocolate topping hints at the sweetness that awaits you, but when you take a bite you’re hit with an incredibly deep, rich, chocolate filling.

Chocolate Caramel Tarte

This treat is a mini-pie filled with caramel cream and topped with chocolate mousse and chocolate decoration.

Chocolate Caramel Tarte

You would think that the star of this one would be the chocolate mousse but it’s really the caramel cream. It closely resembles a custard, and the golden, buttery flavor of both the caramel and the crust paired with the mousse gives that bite of something sweet with just a hint of salt, all wrapped up in a fun presentation.

Beignet

Most people don’t realize that you can get a Beignet in EPCOT’s France, but it’s true! The Beignets here are filled with chocolate and hazelnut, making a perfect mixture of sweet flavor.

Beignet from Les Halles

These pastries are fresh and light and just melt in your mouth. The only reason this one ranks where it does on the list is because it is really sweet, like a filled donut, and may be best enjoyed splitting it with someone else.

Pain au Chocolat

The Pain au Chocolat, also known as a chocolate croissant, is another crowd-pleaser. It’s pretty straightforward in its description and won’t give you any surprises if you’re looking for a reliable snack.

Pain au Chocolat

Just as the name suggests, this is a flaky croissant with chocolate pieces inside!

Brioche Au Chocolat

The Brioche Au Chocolat is exactly what it claims to be — a chocolate chip brioche. This large sweet roll is stuffed with large chocolate chunks inside.

Brioche Au Chocolat

If you’re a big fan of the brioche texture and don’t mind mixing in some chocolatey sweetness, this is just your style!

Parfait aux Fruits

The Parfait aux Fruits is made with yogurt, berries, and mousse, but it’s not your typical fruit parfait. Along with the fresh, ripe berries, you’ll find a sweet berry glaze in the middle. The mousse has a yogurt base but is softened as it’s sweetened, so the yogurt tang is still noticeable without the bitterness of traditional yogurt.

Parfait aux Fruits

This is a perfect snack for someone looking to get a lighter sweet treat, as opposed to some of the heavier sweet pastries at this location.

Duo Au Chocolat

Chocolate fans will really love the Duo Au Chocolat, which is a chocolate mousse cake. This chocolate treat is served in a dome shape with a small chocolate decoration at the top and almonds around the base. What you’re really looking for with this treat is what you’ll find in the center though, which is made of white and dark chocolate mousse layered over a chocolate cake base.

Duo au Chocolat

The mousse is light and fluffy and the white chocolate balances nicely with the rich dark chocolate flavor.

Croissant Amandes

The Croissant Amandes is a chocolate croissant with almond filling.  This croissant is topped with powdered sugar as well as candied and regular almonds.

Croissant Amandes

This is a VERY sweet treat! The center is a healthy mixture of chocolate in the croissant and crunchy almonds, which is why we love it so much!

Fromages

This cheese plate has been upgraded to include five kinds of cheese: blue, goat, brie, gouda, and gruyere.

Fromages

Each of these flavors is really great on its own but could be so much more if you pair them with another savory snack like a baguette.

Macaron Lime Raspberry

The Macaron Lime Raspberry is made with raspberries and lime cream in the center of a macaron. Inside the macaron, you’ll taste the tangy raspberry jam and sweet lime cream that balances out the tart raspberries.

Raspberry Lime Macaron

While they’re no true authentic Parisian macaron, they’re the next best thing we have in EPCOT.

Creme Brulee

This Creme Brulee is exactly as you would imagine it should be with its flame-heated, crunchy layer of sugar sitting over top of the fluffy brulee.

Creme Brulee

This is a great treat but just hits about average on the creme brulee scale for us. It’s certainly not anything to turn your nose away from, but not the most exciting thing to choose when visiting France.

Napoleon

The Napoleon is a puff pastry with cream. There is a glazed sugar fondant top with a light cream interior. This pastry has also been changed over the years, eventually landing its current form in this more traditional presentation of a French Napoleon.

Napoleon

We also caution that the filling in this pastry can get a bit messy — like a cheesecake. You’ll probably want to grab some napkins before taking your first bite!

Fraises

This decadent treat is a tart made with vanilla cream topped with strawberries.

Fraises

If you’re a huge strawberry fan, it’s really hard to pass this one up, and for the price!

Biscuit Chocolat

The Biscuit Chocolat is a doughy cookie absolutely stuffed with chunks of chocolate. This one is also fairly priced for the size of this cookie and matches in deliciousness.

Biscuit Chocolat

If you’re not up to tackling this whole cookie on your own, it’s a great treat to share that’s nice and thick and beautifully baked. This one ranked on our list where it is solely because it is just a chocolate chip cookie after all up against all these adventurous sweet and savory options.

Mousse au Chocolat

The Mousse Au Chocolat is, well… chocolate mousse. This version of chocolate mousse is rich, but at the same time, it’s also light and creamy. It’s a bit light of a taste for chocolate lovers, which is good if you’re looking for something sweet but not too filling!

Mousse au Chocolat

The crunchy pearls at the top add great texture to the mousse to give it an extra edge, but this one ranks a bit lower because we’ve got several versions of chocolate mousse in EPCOT, and it feels a bit redundant against so many other exciting flavors.

Macarons Collection

The Macarons Collection is super portable which is the advantage of this treat. The collection includes six different macarons in flavors like pistachio, vanilla, and chocolate.

Macaron Collection

While the macarons are solid, they aren’t super special. We do adore their packaging and the fact that if you’re saving some for later, they won’t be smushed easily.

Dinde B.L.T.

The Dinde B.L.T. is a sandwich featuring Turkey, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, and Garlic Aioli.

Dinde B.L.T.

This one was good, but not super memorable to us, so it’s ranked lower than some of the other sandwiches offered here.
