The NEW Disney World Treat You Can Get WITHOUT a Park Ticket

For us, no trip to Disney World is complete without indulging in a sweet treat.

Mmmm…ice cream

No dessert hits the spot quite like an ice cream sundae during a hot day in the parks. One fan-favorite place to grab some ice cream and other desserts is Marketplace Snacks in Disney Springs. Here, the menu is practically filled with great options if you’re looking for something to kick that sweet tooth while also cooling you off. However, there are a few items that stand out on the menu here, and one of those is the Bubble Waffle Sundae. Different versions of this treat rotate on and off the menu — we’ve seen a Mickey Bubble Waffle Sundae, a Toy Story Bubble Waffle Sundae, and even a Tinker Bell Bubble Waffle Sundae. On a recent trip to Disney Springs, we noticed that an all-new Bubble Waffle Sundae has graced the menu of Marketplace Snacks, and y’all already know that we had to try it!

The Little Mermaid Waffle Sundae is now available at Marketplace Snacks for $8.99. This sundae features vanilla soft-serve in a bubble waffle, topped with rock candy, green apple sauce, pineapple wedges, and a chocolate garnish.

What stood out to us when we first got this treat was how adorable it is! Like most of the bubble waffle sundaes, there are tiny little Mickeys bubbles that are “embossed” into the waffle. It also didn’t say so on the menu, but we were pleased to discover that the pink sticks are actually strawberry Pocky sticks. We thought they were ADORABLE and added a nice pop of pink color to the snack.

Now, let’s see if it tastes as good as it looks! Our first impression as far as taste goes was that this snack is VERY sweet. It’s also pretty fruity! The vanilla soft serve is pretty standard (and kinda meh) but the pineapple wedges added a freshness and some extra sweetness.

Look how cute!

The strawberry pocky sticks were cute and added another hint of sweetness. The bubble waffle was adorable, of course, but the best part is that it was soft, sweet, and pulled apart super easily. It tasted more like a pancake than a waffle, and the consistency was more like a pancake as well.

Close up of those details!

The rock candy gave the snack a bit more complexity as far as texture goes. However, we expected it to provide a bit of flavor and it didn’t. This was a bit disappointing for us. We were hoping that the green apple sauce would add a bit of a sour kick to the snack, but it was surprisingly super sweet.

Overall, this snack was kind of average other than being super pretty and aesthetically pleasing. If you’re hoping to feed your Instagram stories more so than your tummy, this is the snack for you. You might also like it if you really like fruit and tasteless rock candy. If you’re looking for a dish that’s a bit more complex, and you’re not the biggest fan of fruit, we’d probably skip this. (However, we do think that kids would love this one!)
