These 7 Disney World Restaurants Are STILL Closed – Will They Reopen in 2024?

We’ve seen a number of permanent closures this year in Disney World. but there are also some locations that were allegedly temporarily closed — and still haven’t reopened .

Grand Floridian Afternoon Tea

Some of these indefinite restaurant closures date back several years, and that leaves us wondering if these locations will ever re-open.

If you’re heading to Disney World anytime soon, check out this list to find out if any of your favorites are on it.

Closures

Magic Kingdom

First, we have Aunt Polly’s Dockside Inn on Tom Sawyer Island. It is currently closed and no reopening date has been announced.

Aunt Polly’s on Tom Sawyer Island

Aunt Polly’s Dockside Inn is usually only open seasonally on Tom Sawyer Island but has yet to open any time recently.

Another similar spot in Magic Kingdom is Tomorrowland Terrace.

Tomorrowland Terrace

In August of 2021, the restaurant advertised no more hours and has been closed ever since other than to host the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Viewing Parties.

EPCOT

Now, over in EPCOT, almost everything has reopened except for Restaurant Marrakesh. It is currently closed, and no reopening date has been announced.

Restaurant Marrakesh

The menus have been removed from outside the restaurant and at this time, no other signage has been put up, which isn’t a “good” sign.

Resorts

At the BoardWalk, the Funnel Cake Kiosk is currently closed with no reopening date announced.

Funnel Cake Stand

This spot shows as “temporarily unavailable” on Disney’s website, but hopefully it will reopen soon!

Also at the BoardWalk, Trattoria al Forno used to have a breakfast event that they are no longer offering. Their Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast was a character dining experience with Disney couples, including Flynn and Rapunzel, and Ariel and Prince Eric.

Trattoria al Forno

While Trattoria al Forno still offers breakfast, this character dining experience hasn’t returned since the 2020 pandemic park closure.

Grand Floridian

At the Grand Floridian Resort, 1900 Park Fare is still currently closed and no reopening date has been announced.

1900 Park Fare

It was a table service restaurant where you could meet characters like Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland at their Supercalifragilistic Breakfast and Cinderella and her Prince Charming during Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner. Disney hasn’t announced that it’s a permanent closure, so there is hope for 1900 Park Fare yet.

Another experience that has remained closed is the Afternoon Tea service at the Grand Floridian.

Afternoon Tea at Garden View Tea Room

Their Garden View Tea Room was a lovely setting for a spot of tea, where guests could enjoy British tea packages while gazing out at the outdoor gardens. For the time being this tea room still remains closed.
