As Typhoon Lan approaches western Japan and prepares to make landfall, Universal Studios Japan has announced that it will be closing for the typhoon.
Universal Studios Japan Closing Due to Approaching Typhoon
The news was shared via an important notice on the park’s official website. As a result of the approaching Typhoon Lan, Universal Studios Japan will be closed all day on Tuesday, August 15. The park is still scheduled to be open on Wednesday, August 16, but the park opening time may be delayed, or other changes may be made without prior notice.
In addition, the park shared that all tickets for August 15 will be refunded as long as they are unused. You can see if your ticket qualifies and how to request a refund here.
At the time of press, the JR Yumesaki Line, which serves Universal City Station adjacent to Universal CityWalk Osaka and the park, is still operating on schedule, though there is a possibility that this can change. Virtually all Crew Members and a good chunk of guests utilize the JR Yumesaki Line to get to the park.
