Some drinks in Disney World have reached legendary status.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
We’re not even talking about boozy drinks either. We’re talking about Pumpkin Spice Lattes at Starbucks, but also things like Blue Milk and Cold Brew Black Caf in Disney World. Well, the latter recently had a bit of a makeover, and, although it wasn’t BAD, it wasn’t as iconic as the ORIGINAL version of the drink. Now, though, the original version of the Cold Brew Black Caf is BACK, baby.
So earlier in August, we ordered a Cold Brew Black Caf from Kat Saka’s Kettle in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. And it looked different — VERY different. Although the topping is supposed to be like Cocoa Puffs, the topping was more similar to Cocoa Krispies! Although it didn’t change the flavor of the drink much, it certainly didn’t look as cool (and we’d argue it isn’t canon because at least the Cocoa Puffs have appeared on Andor).
That’s… different
We didn’t really get an explanation for the switcheroo at the time, but we assumed there might’ve been a Cocoa Puff crisis in Disney World — were they suddenly hard to get? The Cold Brew Black Caf in Disney World never changed, so who knows what happened? Anyway, we have some news to report, though: the ORIGINAL version of the Cold Brew Black Caf is BACK in Disney World. The Cocoa Puffs crisis has been averted!
It’s back to its original form.
This is what it’s SUPPOSED to look like and now it’s back. We spoke with a Cast member who told us they were unable to get that special space cereal that looks like Cocoa Puffs on Batuu for a while, but the problem has now been solved. Maybe the First Order was commandeering all the Cocoa Puffs for themselves?
Cold Brew Black Caf
We’re happy to see the Cold Brew Black Caf back to its original form. Also, if you haven’t tried it yet, we highly recommend — it’s a smooth coffee drink that doesn’t even taste like coffee with a sweet cream cheese-like foam on top with that hint of chocolate flavor from the Cocoa Puffs. You can get either a non-alcoholic or alcoholic version.
