We’re all about finding and sharing SECRET tips for Disney World so that you can have the best vacation possible when you visit!
We recently told you about some secret stairs that’ll help you get into Magic Kingdom faster, and don’t forget about the much-less-crowded SECOND entrance to EPCOT! Now, we’re spilling the beans about a hidden door at Disney’s Beach Club Resort that might just come in handy the next time you stay at that hotel.
Come along with us — we’re going to show you how to find this secret door and tell you why it’s such a cool hidden gem!
How To Find the SECRET Door
The secret door is located at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, super close to the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT (the back entrance, by the France and UK pavilions).
Here it is circled in red on the map (you can see the Skyliner on the map in the lower right-hand corner, which is right next to that EPCOT entrance).
Just walk away from EPCOT, towards Beach Club, and stop when you see this little pathway.
Follow it for a little while, and you should find a very simple, unassuming door! This is it!
The door just gets you inside the hotel (it opens into a hallway), but since it’s just STEPS away from EPCOT, it could save you a long and uncomfortable walk in the rain if your own hotel room is located further inside the resort.
Note that this door isn’t for everyone to use — it’s only for Beach Club hotel guests.
You have to scan your hotel room key or MagicBand (one that’s linked to your hotel reservation) if you want to open it.
Why It’s So Cool
So WHY is this door so cool? Well, as we mentioned before, it could save you if there’s bad weather outside and you want to get into shelter ASAP.
Don’t trudge through the rain or a storm; just use this door to get inside the hotel right away.
But what we think is the coolest thing about it is that this hotel entrance is the closest one to EPCOT out of any hotel in Disney World. If you want to be as close to EPCOT as possible, try to get a room that’s close to this door!
We just happen to know that the room just inside this door is number 1501. Why do we know that? That makes this hotel room officially the CLOSEST one to the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, and we may or may not have done extensive research on the topic when booking our trips for that popular event.
Can you blame us? We want to be the first to try all the delicious eats, and we’re absolutely willing to do intense preparation like that to achieve it!
But Wait…There’s ANOTHER One!
ANOTHER secret door? Can it possibly be true? Yes! The Beach Club isn’t the only hotel with its own secret door. Let’s make the quick walk over to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.
This hidden door isn’t quite as good as the Beach Club one because it’s not as close to EPCOT, but it’s still a fun secret to know.
Head down the pier to the spot circled on the map to find it!
It’s just a short walk from the main path to the door.
There it is! It leads into a hallway at this hotel.
Like the Beach Club door, you’ll need to have a room reservation at the Yacht Club in order to gain entry here.
We’ll keep sharing more secret Disney World tips, so stay tuned to DFB!
