The Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) has ended their COVID-19 vaccination and testing requirements for cruising and Disney Cruise Line has followed suit for upcoming Australian sailings.
Disney Cruise Line South Pacific Sailings
The AHPPC lifted their requirements on August 25, 2023. On September 13, Disney Cruise Line updated their COVID-19 policies for Australian sailings to reflect the AHPPC.
The Disney Wonder will be leaving Alaska soon and heading to Australia for Disney Cruise Line’s first South Pacific sailings including New Zealand ports of call. Though these sailings are on the Disney Wonder, they are “Disney Magic at Sea” sailings. Below are Disney Cruise Line’s details regarding health and safety measures for South Pacific Disney Magic at Sea sailings.
Health and Safety Measures
Our focus remains on creating magic for all on board while operating our ships in a responsible manner. The health and safety of our Crew Members and Guests are top of mind. While protocols may change at any time, Disney Cruise Line adheres to the local laws, regulations and protocols in place—including those related to health and safety—at all homeports and ports of call. Guests should review and stay up to date with any cruise-specific requirements, restrictions or recommendations that may be in place for travel to these destinations.
Sailings Visiting Australia
The Australian Health Protection Principal Committee has rescinded the national guidelines for cruising in Australia. The state governments of New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania no longer require passengers to comply with the Eastern Seaboard and Western Australian Cruise Protocols. The previous requirements regarding COVID-19 vaccination and testing are no longer in effect.
Sailings from New Zealand
At this time, COVID-19 vaccination and testing is not required for Disney Magic at Sea sailings from New Zealand.
Guests should visit the sites listed below to learn more about the government entry requirements and guidance for Australia and New Zealand:

Disney Cruise Line continues to recommend that all Guests become fully vaccinated before sailing and encourages unvaccinated Guests to take a COVID-19 self-test 2 days prior to their cruise.
