- Over the weekend at Destination D23, new concept art was shared for the addition of the Hatbox Ghost to the Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom. However, one iconic gag from the ride was noticeably missing — the floating candelabra in the Endless Hallway scene.
- We reviewed the new Werther’s Original treat from the confectionery counter in Big Top Souvenirs at Magic Kingdom: Pumpkin Butter Bars.
EPCOT
- Just one day after Figment’s made his meet and greet debut at EPCOT, the purple dragon has taken a tumble or two on the way out of the “Dreamport,” where the character makes his entrance into ImageWorks.
- Everyone’s favorite figment of their imagination, Figment, is now meeting guests at EPCOT. As of today, appearance times for the meet and greet have been added to the My Disney Experience app.

New Merchandise
- An upcoming collaboration between Disney and Lug was showcased at Destination D23 2023 at Walt Disney World Resort; the collection will include bags featuring Figment, Orange Bird, and many more beloved characters and will be released in 2024.
- Disney recently announced a new Disney Legacy Animated Film Collection that contains 100 animated films from studios like Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Disneytoon, and more.
- A new shirt celebrating the original Country Bear Jamboree has appeared on shopDisney, and includes a mention of Liver Lips McGrowl — who was recently revealed to be getting a name change alongside an update for the classic attraction.
- Turn your dog or cat into a Jedi-in-training with the new “Star Wars” Padawan Pet Academy collection at Walt Disney World Resort.

Disneyland Resort
- The holiday season will soon be ushered in at Disneyland Park, as “it’s a small world” will close on October 23 to receive its holiday overlay. The attraction is scheduled to reopen on November 10.
- Now that the terms of the settlement of the lawsuit filed against Walt Disney Parks and Resorts in 2021 over alleged false advertising of the Disneyland Resort Magic Key program have been revealed, the Orange County Register has shared how Annual Passholders can get their payout.
- Disney Vacation Club members will soon have the opportunity to preview the upcoming The Villas at Disneyland Hotel expansion to the venue. Open houses will be offered from September 29–October 1, coinciding with the new tower’s previously announced September 28 opening date.
- The second Haunted Mansion trading card featuring its characters and the Cast Members who brought them to life has been released at Disneyland Resort for Magic Key holders.

- The first Funday Football is coming in Week 4 as both the Jaguars and Falcons get the Pixar Treatment.
- Disney’s live-action reimagining of “The Little Mermaid” made a big splash on Disney+ over the weekend, breaking records as it made its debut on the streamer.
