To celebrate this year’s spooky season, Mickey Mouse and his pals are all getting new Halloween costumes at Disneyland Park. Mickey and Minnie’s new costumes were already revealed, but now we have a look at the new costumes for the rest of the gang.
New Halloween Costumes for Mickey and Friends at Disneyland
Shared in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) by Scott Gustin, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Clarabelle, and Chip ‘n Dale will all get new outfits for the Halloween season.
Moving from left to right, here are descriptions of everyone’s costumes:
- Chip ‘n Dale: Matching spooky candy corn pieces with blue transparent overlays
- Daisy: Blue and orange witch
- Donald: Blue and orange devil
- Mickey: Blue and orange Halloween tuxedo
- Minnie: Blue and orange bat
- Pluto: Blue spider web cape
- Clarabelle: Blue and orange spider web dress
- Goofy: Blue and orange patchwork jester
Gustin also shared a clip of Mickey and his friends doing their spookiest poses in the new costumes, which you can check out below.
Mickey and Minnie’s new costumes were first revealed back in April via concept art.
Last Year’s ‘Homemade’ Costumes
For Halloween time last year in 2022, Mickey and his friends showed off “homemade” costumes at Disneyland Park. Mickey dressed as a jack-o’-lantern, Minnie dressed as a cat, Goofy was a haunted apple tree, and Donald dressed as a piece of candy corn.
With whimsical touches and a patchwork appearance, these costumes were meant to look homemade, as though Mickey and his crew made them all on their own.
Oogie Boogie Bash
Oogie Boogie Bash — A Disney Halloween Party takes place in Disney California Adventure each fall. Historically, the party has included attractions such as Villains Grove, the Headless Horseman, Frightfully Fun Parade, treat trails, Mickey’s Trick and Treat dance party, and photo opportunities. All lands within the park remain open during the Halloween Party, including Avengers Campus.
Unique meet-and-greet opportunities include various Disney Villains. Other past meet and greets included Clarabelle, Daisy, and Minnie posing as the Sanderson Sisters from “Hocus Pocus,” Bruno from “Encanto,” King Mickey and Donald from Kingdom Hearts, and Hercules. Judge Doom from “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” and Yokai from “Big Hero 6” were also recently announced for this year’s character lineup.
Oogie Boogie Bash was sold out by mid-July, although resellers tried to sell tickets for up to $2,000 on eBay and similar sites.
The event runs on select nights from September 5 through October 31, 2023.
What do you think of Mickey and the gang’s new Halloween costumes for this year? Do you like them more or less than last year’s “homemade” Halloween costumes? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
