Many of us here in the DIS Community are devoted fans of Disney. Our love for the parks and passion for the characters often start to influence other parts of our lives. For instance, I frequently wear my Disney jewelry to work, along with my beloved (and worn out) silver Mickey Mouse Silhouette Ballet Slippers that I purchased in Walt Disney World’s Boardwalk area. I recently invested in some of the new Princess-inspired makeup from Charlotte Tilbury, taking after one of my favorites, Moana; it’s incredible, btw. And I often find myself drawing outfit inspiration from other Disney characters like Minnie Mouse. What can I say? I’m a Disney girl at heart. However, there is one thing that I’ve never been game enough to do. Get a Tattoo.
My family and friends have them, so the conversation always comes up here and there, “If you were going to get a tattoo, what would you get?” My answer has always been the same. I would be a small Mickey Mouse silhouette on the inside of my wrist. If I was game, maybe even two side by side, one Mickey and one Minnie with a little bow, representing my son and daughter. As much as I love the idea, I just can’t commit to getting it done. Personally, I am much more suited to the likes of an EasyTatt that uses Nano Ink to give you a semi-permanent result that lasts around 2 weeks. This is my favorite one:
Even though I am too much of a sook (Australian for wimpy) to go through with the real thing, I’ve seen some very impressive Disney ink over the years. There is one particular lovely member of the Disney Boards on Facebook group who has shared many of their designs with the group, and they are impressive!
Today I was hoping we could share some ideas and find out what Disney designs you have been considering or gone ahead with. What made you decide to go with a Disney-inspired option, and what does it mean to you?
