After reopening earlier this year after a 10-month-long refurbishment at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Narcoossee’s is temporarily closing once again.
Narcoossee’s Temporarily Closing
According to the official Walt Disney World website, the restaurant will be closing to make “a few more equipment updates,” after they recently introduced a new interior and overhauled “land and sea” menu.
The restaurant will close for these updates starting September 17, 2023. Disney expects that the restaurant will reopen by mid-October, though no specific reopening date has been given.
In the meantime, guests are encouraged to consider other dining locations at Disney’s Grand Floridian.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Refurbishment
Disney’s Grand Floridian is also undergoing general refurbishment. Most recently, the walkway between Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and the Grand Floridian is closed for construction, and white scrim was removed from the upper floors of the resort’s lobby as work finishes up on the guest floor railings.
The lobby of the resort itself is also due for a refurbishment, but that won’t happen until 2024.
