New Red & Blue Monorail Pot Holders Available at Disneyland Resort

A new set of two pot holders inspired by the Disney Monorails is available at Disneyland Resort. We picked these up in the Home Store in Downtown Disney District.

The pot holders can slide over the handles of a pot. They have the same design, with black windows and white stripes, but one is red and one is blue.

The design is repeated on both sides of the Monorail pot holders.

The Disneyland Monorail reopened this month after a two-month refurbishment. The famous transportation/attraction has become an icon of the resort, inspiring not just pot holders, but also a lunch tote, apparel, mugs, and much more. Do you collect Monorail merchandise? Let us know in the comments.

Disneyland Monorail History

This Monorail became the first daily-operating system of its kind in the Western Hemisphere when it opened its doors in 1959. Today, it’s more of a relaxing way to escape the heat and crowds than it is an actual means of transportation; guests can ride the rails from the Downtown Disney District and the nearby Disneyland Hotel on a tour of the resort including a ride past Disney California Adventure and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

Ride with us on our first trip since the attraction’s reopening below, including a glimpse at some of the work being done throughout the Downtown Disney District and the newly renovated station.
