NEWS: Bear Spotted in Magic Kingdom Has Been Released into the Wild

Hey, remember that time an actual BEAR was found in Magic Kingdom and half the park had to shut down as a result? (It was yesterday, so probably you remember it. 😂)

Nope, not this bear

We’ve got good news to share about how the story ended!

Several lands in Magic Kingdom were closed as Disney worked with local wildlife experts to remove a real-life bear from the theme park. The bear had wandered into the park “likely searching for food,” according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC). (We’re pretty sure she was just interested in learning more about the re-theme announced for Country Bear Jamboree, but either story seems plausible.)

Biologists with the FWC’s Bear Management Program and FWC Law Enforcement officers captured the bear for relocation. Now, according to Fox News, the bear has been released back into the wild.

The FWC shared a video of the black bear — an adult female — being released into the Ocala National Forest in Marion County (which is about 90 minutes away from Disney World).
