Magic Kingdom is a beautiful theme park that’s filled with picture-perfect areas. Today, I am venturing into a few spots I absolutely adore and think are perfect for Instagram and other social media platforms. I have done a handful of articles like this, but I still want to share how I take these photos as a solo traveler.
I always have my emotional support water bottle with me, and I use that to prop my phone up. I then use the timer feature, step back, and strike a pose! Of course, if you are traveling with someone, you could have them take the pictures and get all the angles. Anyway, let’s jump into the photos.
Center Street – Main Street, U.S.A.
Center Street is a quiet area, and usually, there are not a lot of guests on this side of Main Street. I love that this area is secluded because you can get many photos here.
I walked toward the end of the street and found these boxes that were covering the pillars due to maintenance. I used it as a surface to stand my water bottle on. The ledges on the windows work just as well.
We are currently deep in the Halloween season here at Magic Kingdom, so Mickey Mouse pumpkins will appear in the photos. I loved how these pictures came out, especially the one with the Mickey pumpkin. These are perfect pictures to post during Fall.
Frointerland Boardwalk
There’s a wooden walkway in Frontierland that leads to Liberty Square. Here, you can get photos with Tom Swayer Island in the background.
The first photo is from my phone being propped up on my water bottle. A PhotoPass photographer named Brian saw me setting up my timer to try again, and he asked if he could take the pictures instead. The second picture is one that he took with my phone. I suggest having someone with you to take the photos here because, clearly, it looks way better. I really love the background here, so if you are alone, I suggest asking a cast member if they can take a photo of you.
Back of Cinderella Castle
The back of Cinderella Castle is absolutely gorgeous. It is my favorite photo spot, especially during the holiday season, because it’s decorated.
The only thing that stinks about this spot is that it can get crowded, but if you wait a few minutes, you’ll see the crowds thin out.
I actually really love the way these photos came out. I waited a while to ensure that there wasn’t a massive crowd behind me, and it was worth it. I can’t wait to recreate this when it’s all decorated during the winter holidays.
Storybook Circus Posters by Train Station
This area isn’t my favorite, but if it’s done right, the photos can come out really great. The biggest downside is that this area is used as stroller parking for the Walt Disney World Railroad. If there aren’t many strollers, you can find a spot to set up your phone like I did.
The picture I really wanted was to be in between the two posters, but a family was standing on the other side, and I didn’t want to bother them. With this being said, I think this is still a cute spot. If I had someone with me, I would’ve had them take the photos so I could get multiple angles. Like I said, it’s still an adorable photo, even if you prop your phone against the water bottle.
Storybook Entrance to TRON
This is a spot I discovered on this day. I was leaving Storybook Circus, and when I walked toward TRON Lightcycle / Run, I realized it would be a great photo.
I am in love with these photos, and I think they are Instagram-worthy, so I highly suggest checking out the spot. It will look cool if you can time it right and get the coaster passing behind you. This area is also very empty most of the time, so it’s an excellent spot for a mini photoshoot.
