The Walt Disney World Annual Passholder shopping event has begun at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The shopping event takes place from September 20 to September 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily in the AdventHealth Arena.
To attend, Passholders must use the My Disney Experience app to join a virtual queue. A standby queue is not available. Passholders can request to join the virtual queue starting at 8:00 a.m. on each day of the event. They do not need to be at Walt Disney World Resort to join the virtual queue. Once your group is called, you will have two hours to check in at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
Here is what Disney announced for the event:
- Early access to purchase new trading pins and Pandora charms, including:
- EPCOT Reimagined Pandora Charm
- Journey to Imagination with Figment Pandora Charm
- Minnie Mouse Bride Pandora Charm
- Grogu Rose Gold Pandora Charm
- Access to a special Pandora charm just for Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholders
- 60% off select merchandise—including select apparel, 50th Anniversary merchandise, Loungefly items and Dooney & Bourke fashions
- Photo opportunities to commemorate this occasion
- Special food & beverage offerings available for purchase
We joined the virtual queue right at 8:00 a.m. and got group #3, so arrived at the complex at about 10:00 a.m. A-frame signs point guests to the merchandise event.
When you check-in, you must show the QR code that appears in the My Disney Experience app. At the next checkpoint, you’ll need to show your Annual Pass and ID.
A DJ is inside the arena during the event.
A new Figment Pandora charm and EPCOT Reimagined Pandora charm are available to Passholders.
So are other new Pandora charms, like this rose gold Grogu and a Minnie bridal charm.
These are early releases, so will presumably be available to regular guests later.
They are also not discounted like the rest of the merchandise.
The merchandise available is much of the same that Cast Members and their guests might see at Cast Connection. It’s leftover stock, so is still in its original boxes.
There are signs indicating what is in each section, like apparel and home decor.
There are small things like keychains and ornaments, as well as larger items like Loungefly backpacks.
Loungefly bags and other high-demand items have a limit of two per person.
There are Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge lightsaber hilts (also limited to two per person).
Since much of the merchandise comes in the original boxes, there are garbage cans designated for different packing materials, like bubble wrap and styrofoam.
Guests are to use mobile checkout in the My Disney Experience app.
A Cast Member then checks items before guests leave.
Another room was actually open for mobile checkout.
Whether you purchased something or not, you received a free reusable shopping bag.
The Mr. Toad popcorn bucket is available for $5.
There are also Mickey pretzels, Premium Ice Cream Bars, and other drinks and snacks available.
There are Mickey Mouse photo ops. One includes a black and white Mickey figure with red and yellow cans of paint, in front of a Steamboat Willie backdrop.
The other photo op puts guests in front of a Mickey Mouse clubhouse, next to a blue car and Mickey mailbox.
Here are more details about the shopping event:
- An eligible, activated Annual Pass is required to attend. You must show your Annual Pass card, MagicMobile pass, MagicBand or MagicBand+—along with valid photo identification—when checking in.
- Everyone in your party must be an Annual Passholder and be included in your virtual queue group to attend this merchandise event.
