The mystery structure behind Woody’s Lunch Box is finally being painted. Construction began on an expanded seating area behind the quick-service eatery in January 2022. A shade went up soon after, but new seating never opened.
Meanwhile, the land between the exit queue and Woody’s Lunch Box was cleared and the DynoGlide plane and other props were removed from the ride’s exit queue, which was rerouted during the construction of Jessie’s Trading Post. The mystery structure was visible by January 2023 but developed slowly into a gray concrete box. Finally, painting began on the structure in mid-August, turning it into a cardboard box that we thought had been scribbled on by Andy.

But now the paint job has progressed much further, revealing a more professionally colored box, with a covered wagon set against brown rocks and a blue sky.
Behind scaffolding, we can see some lettering. The first word is spelled out with a rope.
The full mural reads “Cowboy Cookin’ Set.” There’s also a cactus at the far end of the mural.
It looks like this potential seating area is finally nearing completion. Are you excited for the fences, scrim, and scaffolding to come down?
