Disney previously announced that Space Mountain in Tomorrowland would close on September 18th (which is coming up soon). At first, we just knew that it’d reopen in mid-fall 2023, but now we have the official reopening date! This beloved ride will reopen on October 26th, 2023.

Space Mountain in Disneyland

Space Mountain in Disneyland is a fan-favorite ride. While Space Mountain in Disney World did open first, it was placed in Disneyland in 1977 after it became wildly popular. But Disneyland might ultimately win this battle because Disneyland’s Space Mountain rockets guests through space at 32 mph, while Disney World only does so at 30 mph — so it is usually a stop for all Disneyland visitors looking for a thrill

If you have a trip scheduled to Disneyland this fall, you’ll want to make note of this closure. Don’t forget that there have been several other changes at Disney and recently, including the opening of the new Big Hero 6-themed San Fransokyo Square and the NEW restaurant, Tiana’s Palace, opening in New Orleans Square!
